All Purpose Positive Thread [Ed: POSBANG!]

Submitted by Mercury Hayes on March 21st, 2012 at 5:06 PM

To help make us feel better about all the not so good news, I've created this thread where we can be positive. I will get us started.

Things to be positive about:

-80 degree weather in March

-Not living in Ohio.

-Having great coaches in basketball and football

-DVR's (we can watch the Sugar Bowl over and over until Sept. gets here)

Its all good, next year our basketball lineup is gonna look similar to this...

1. Burke(STAY IN COLLEGE), Akunne

2. Hardaway, Stauskus, Vogrich

3. GR3, Stauskas, Biefeldt

4. MM, McLimans/Biefeldt

5. Morgan, Horford, McLimans

That looks like a team that should be a top 10 team and win the B1G. Only thing that worries me is depth at point and power forward. Not to mention we also have a top 10 football team next year. This is Michigan!

Yay HTTV is almost 50% funded in 2 hours. Good work everyone involved!

Brian needs to Kickstart some other cool MGoStuff...I was thinking along the lines of an:

MGoBar - Lease what was Sakebomb Depot when I was a freshman (it was a videogame store by senior year, I don't know if it still is) and turn it into a really badass sports bar. Set up some sort of club with membership specials like extended happy hours, real-life muppets for post-game celebrations and a rockband setup where Brian plays drums in a suit. Locations in Oakland county, Chicago, and DC to follow.

So who does everyone think is going to be the next commitment for Football?

My guess is Gedeon, but I would love to see Isaac go blue on Sunday.

Just grilled some huge chicken breasts. If you've ever tried garlic expressions salad dressing, it makes a great marinade. And if you haven't tried it, I would encourage you to do so.

At this point you have to reserve judgment re the quality of the basketball program, especially given the end-of-the-season downslide and the recent departures.  After 5 years, despite this season's improvement, Beilein is only 43-47 in the Big Ten and 91-77 overall.  Yes, there has been significant improvement, but we'll have to wait and see if it is going to be a long-term renaissance or something less "positive."
