how the hell did jared odrick get d-line and defensive player of the year awards with like 9 tfl and 6 sacks when b-money child eater graham had like 25 tfl and 8.5 sacks.?????

Well, first its harder to get sacks and TFL's from the DT position than the DE position and BG was on a pretty bad team :/
But I agree that "B-money child eater Graham" should've gotten DL of the year

BG got screwed. No doubt about it.

Personally I thought Graham and Schofield were the best defensive players in the b10. This is a travesty. His numbers were ridiculous, especially considering he was the only serious threat the offense had to be gameplanning for all week in preparation.... I am shocked.

if tate would have been freshmen of the year if he didnt play his worse game, statistically, against osu.

Hopefully that will just serve to drive him on to All Big Ten play next year.

Didn't win freshman of the year. Wow. I don't agree with that.

got an honorable mention from the media. what?
November 23rd, 2009 at 9:37 PM ^
Cant believe Greg Jones is getting defensive player of the year, and was the only unanimous all big ten player. BG is definitely more dominant, and deserves it way more. Big ups Brandon, go get paid to do what you love.

David Moosman was also named Michigan’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award recipient, congrats!

But this was certainly a down year in the B10 if he is the most valuable player.
I'm not sure who else should have won it as there were really no impressive candidates this season.

I agreed with Rittenberg's assesment that it should have gone to a defensive player, though certainly not their choice for D MVP. Graham or Jones would've been better choices for league MVP.
