Alex Smith picks UNC

No real surprise here: "Alex Smith announced his verbal commitment to North Carolina during a press conference held at his high school Tuesday. The four-star prospect is ranked among the nation's Top 10 tight ends by Scout.com. "After being through this long, delayed-out recruiting process I think the best fit for me -- and me and my mom agree -- is the University of North Carolina," Smith said. Smith, a 6-foot-5, 235-pound tight end from West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West, selected UNC from a list of two dozen scholarship offers that included Cincinnati, Kentucky, Miami, Michigan, South Carolina, and Wisconsin." http://northcarolina.scout.com/2/922906.html

does this mean the staff likely goes after someone pretty hard for the 2011 class for this position? Also, I've heard speculation of Jeremy Jackson headed for that position, but have also heard that he doesn't want to play TE and would likely decommit if that's where they wanted to put him. Is this all internets rumurz?
