I realize the days of our coaches being men of knowledge are perhaps in the rear view mirror, and perhaps they threw away the mold when Lloyd was created - but can you possibly imagine what Bret Bielema would say?

In fairness, though, there would surely be more liquor at this gathering than at an academic convention - and that's saying something.....

Since DB is supposedly interviewing someone other than Les in Dallas, and many of the coaches on the speakers list are non-options Pete Fredenburg seems like a possibility (probobly not going to happen but he might be being interviewed).
The man is having Tressel-esque success at the lower level and his team plays with outstanding toughness and dicipline.

He's 61, coaches D3, and has made it the championship once (and lost). Tressel coached D1-AA and won 4 national championships.

OK, you're new so if you haven't noticed people are testy around here. If you're going to make a post in jest, make sure people will realize it. A "/s" tag is helpful, plentiful use of "..." , or any of a number of internet memes.

My coach has gone all the way from Loughborough, England for the convention. Hope he learns some good stuff to teach us back here!

This is a little obscure coach watch, second notice: Bob Nielson (Minnesota-Duluth - DII champs 2 of the last 3 years) is also speaking at the conference.
It seems to me he and KC Keeler fit the model of Tressel's hire at tOSU. I doubt he (Nielson) is a candidate, but I like him as a coach.
