ACC bias

NCAA and ESPN are very aligned with their narrative. Evident in the seedings and three (3) ACC teams as #1's

Hard to get "pumped" for the tourney when the deck is set up like this ?

Brian said that all three of Duke, UNC and Virginia had top 5 strength of records due to their difficult schedules. Hard to complain about that IMO. You could argue Tennessee deserved one, but they probably deserved it over Gonzaga and not the three ACC one seeds.

This is the time of year where people just say shit because there are a million other hot takes.

UVA was without it's best offensive player last year. Guy and Jerome can ball and now they have a freshman starting who's one of the more dynamic players they've had in some time.

Not saying they can't lose, they still have droughts - just like Michigan. But they're capable and SHOULD be in the Final Four this year. They finally have some offense to pair with their defense.

In some ways, Michigan is like UVA-lite.

Michigan fans have no reason to complain. We got stupid lucky being in the West and not placed against Duke. State got screwed and should rightfully be pissed.

The Duke that UNC beat twice was very not good. Interestingly, Duke gets a pass for losing those two games because everyone knows they were bad because they were without Zion. And UNC also gets credit for winning them as if Zion was still there!  UNC should be the first 2 seed. But it'll all wash out in the end.

One of the dumbest things the B1G ever did was when they moved a big chunk of TV rights away from ABC/ESPN. It helps to have the sports industrial complex behind you.

Championship game on Sunday after it could have any impact on seeding doesn't help, either.

8 Big Ten teams in more then the ACC but till this conference wins a national championship it’s not going to get No. 1 seeds

I think had Michigan won 2 of 3 they’d still be a 2 seed but they didn’t and finished 11-6 down the stretch and got their high 2 seed on their 17-0 start this team didn’t finish well and not going in to the tournament with momentum

That's just one game, the committee also saw MSU get swept by IU and lose to Illinois, that's what kept them from a one seed. If UNC had gotten run off the court vs Duke in the acc tourney like against UM, I'd agree that they should have been a 2-seed, but they didn't.

No one is aligned with ESPN in some grand sports conspiracy, you fucking tool. This goddamn narrative for every fucking sport is just dumb as hell. It’s like people like you don’t posses the brain cells to come up with any other possible reason other than “durrr...ESPN conspiracy.”

I mean ESPN doesn’t even broadcast the fucking tournament. It’s CBS/Turner. Get your  conspiracies right, dipshit.

Maybe. I guess we'll find out if all three make the FF.  But do you really think all three would've had similar seasons playing the Big Ten Schedule? I don't. And I think that both MSU and UM have the same or better records than they do now with an ACC schedule. Including playing Duke and UVA twice.

Michigan's bracket based on the way the season was going all along (tracking for a 2 seed), is as good as what we all could have hoped for. We'd get #2 in the West, and they would basically put both Nevada and Gonzaga in our way, them being "western" teams. They're both great programs, but they ain't no UNC/Duke/UVa ACC team or UK/Tennessee SEC team. We're basically staring down Gonzaga, Nevada, Texas Tech and Florida State on our way to the Final Four, and not one of the aforementioned programs. We done lucked out.
