7 on 7 at UM in April is cancelled
according to Thayer Evans's twitter:
"BadgerSport Elite 7-on-7 camp at Michigan on April 2-3 cancelled by Wolverines. UM made decision week ago because "combination of factors.""

Baron Flenory is supposedly involved in these camps, so I'm not surprised UM is distancing themselves from him. It's too bad because that seemed to be a decent recruiting tool/event, never hurts to get kids on campus regardless of the interaction of coaches. But I can't blame them for this decision.
Does Badger Sports have anything to do with Wisconsin? All these camps and "street agent" involvement is confusing.
is anathletic apparel company that sponsors these tournaments

The tournaments are run by New Level Athletics

This is extremely unfortunate. Camps bring kids in that normally wouldn't visit that school. I wonder if they will announce the reasoning.
This sucks, but was absolutely necessary. Still though, these camps seem to be great recruiting tools.

Agree 100%. Being on probation, I don't think we have any wiggle room on this. Any appearance of impropriety in the Barnett recruitment is dangerous.
I may be an idiot, who is Baron Flenory, is he related to this Oregon incident?
Deserving of own thread, but i could see that you didn't want to project the authors' opinions onto you.
Best explanation of current climate of college football recruiting I have ever come across.
thx

They were good tools but I'm happy to see it go, at least for now. We don't need shady recruiting to be connected with the school at all, especially after practicegate and this being Hoke's first year.

Yea, I'm just waiting for those teams that are blatantly connected to "shady recruiting" to be punished and further exposed.

Until the NCAA figures out some guidelines, i'm perfectly fine with this. sucks but better safe than sorry.
