4th Quarter EDSBS Charity Bowl Update - Michigan Destroying All Comers

With the EDSBS Charity Bowl ending tomorrow, Michigan Men laughed heartily at Texas' use of their oil money to close the gap by retaking a commanding lead.

The key culprit in that is Michigan, the fanbase who treated even a meager challenge to their title like an existential threat. 290 very generous people donated to this year's Charity Bowl so far. ONE HUNDRED AND ONE OF THEM CLAIMED MICHIGAN AS THEIR SCHOOL. Of that $25K plus, almost $7K comes from Michigan.

It sounds like the only thing that will keep Michigan from a three-peat is a T. Boone Pickens intervention. Don't let that keep you from donating though, sounds like the charity (RRISA) is a worthy cause

If we have over a third of the donations but less than a third of the money, it sounds like we still have some work to do on our per capita amounts. Get to work people!

Since you are encouraged to donate in an amount related to the score of a significant game, the low per-capita donations must be a result of lower scoring Michigan games recently. If you're an optimist, you can say Mattison's defense has been awesome keeping the other team from scoring. If you are naturally angry, you can blame Borges for the offense not scoring as much as maybe they could have. 12.10 was too low for me, but I didn't want to go too much higher, so I went with 24.12, a good old standby.

Don't forget to get your employer to match any donations you make (if they have a corporate giving program in place).

 

My donation of 31.29 (in honor of Phillip Brabbs, Cancer Kicker) just became 62.58!

Thanks for the reminder.

I just added to the Michigan lead. I believe the prize offered by EDSBS was sending pizza to Schembechler Hall, and I am all for people getting their fair share of free pizza. 

I don't know if my employer will officially match, but I did send the appropriate link to all the known Michigan grads in my division just now.
