I am not going to melt down over what school a teenager decides to go to. Seriously, people need to stop living and dying over recruits' commitments. Having said that, if the kid really has enrolled at Michigan, then this can't be true.

this up on the boards: In the last 15 minutes I have been talking with our guys down in San Antonio and people close to Big Will. I will caution you not to jump off any nearby ledges just yet. I will talk more about this in chat where I will give you some other possible scenarios (based on the talks I've had with people today) here that may or may not talk you away from that ledge. Stay tight for awhile, though.

This could be the biggest hit to recruiting. If this IS true, then the DC IS a big deal and it should have gotten done before the holidays and RR should have been all over Big Will. He's only one kid, but the number of big time de-commits is getting too large to ignore. We can't change the facts, but no one else is having these same problems in recruiting. I'm behind RR 100%, but you have to question what is going on when 4 and 5 * guys de-commit from a major program. Maybe Shafer's leaving and the 3-9 record have had more of an effect than anyone thought. They are only 17-18 yr old kids, but right now our program needs they 17-18 yr olds to rebuild this storied program. There certainly isn't much to hang our hats on at this point.

his re-committment goes toward that change and the lack of defensive leadership. I doubt it's just about getting out of state. Maybe one of these schools is offering him more than a scholarship?

It's ok guys. My insider, who is best friends with the mom of the girl that dated that guy that hooked up with the chick that babysat Will Campbell when he was 4 years old says he's blue and not to worry this is just a way to get more attention for his decision at the AA game.

Southern Values and they stay together were the 2 reasons that attracted him outside of MI. He also said he wanted to get out of the state to see what's out there. Oh well... He would have been an awesome pick up.

a long time ago. It's not like he was committed to us for months and months, "recruiting other guys to come here", supposedly enrolling early, etc. etc., and then he enrolled at UTEP. We've had plenty of time to recruit other d-linemen.
