You said the same thing about Beilein and he just made the national championship game
I’m just going to continue to remind you how horrible your basketball hot takes were because I know you wanted to continue posting under Maizen’s account but you can’t because you were so wrong.
I fail to see how his Beilein takes were hot. He said they needed to improve recruiting and defense, they did, and they played for the title.
Then you weren’t paying very good attention to what else he was saying. There is a reason he doesn’t post as Maizen anymore.
Thanks for picking up the slack in big picture recruiting coverage. Key with the lower rated guys is, sure the coaching staff like them but it's not a good sign if we're constantly settling on the coaching staff's Plan C or D kids. We'll never really know how the coaching staff sees the board. And recruiting rankings are certainly less valuable than when we had 4 providers, we really only have 2 now that ESPN is useless.
man I miss swim lanes diaries from Alum96?98?
I think this is something that should have been picked up by and made part of the front page articles. Monthly updates.
The closest thing is the best guess on mgofish
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I haven't seen anyone mention this re: 3-star commits. Wouldn't the change in the signing period lead to more 3-star commits at this time vs. 5-star commits? Logic being that 3-star commits have to commit to a school now or risk losing their spot later, vs. 5 stars who can afford to take their time with the early signing period.
Wouldn't that lead to a reversal where more schools receive lesser commits early on in the process? I haven't studied other schools recruiting trends this year, but I'd imagine other schools are noticing the same trend. *Some* Michigan fans may tend to overreach, because Michigan :shrugs:.
Great point; I remember this being mentioned, but I always think the pressure comes from the kid more than the school. Basically: are you in or out, Michigan? Because if you're not, I'm going with this other school, type-of-situation.
