2019 4* OG commit Nolan Rumler posted some pictures from the BBQ today and a lot of the OL commits look to be getting along well. But HOLY CRAP, Joey Velazquez is an absolute physical FREAK. There was talk that he looked like a man amongst boys at the Michigan camp a few months ago and this confirms it

Davion Weatherspoon is only a 2021 recruit? That kid looks huge. 24/7 says he is only 285 but he looks thick.
Velasquez weighs 190 & benches 380. Not your average baseball player.

I was the OMG shirtless poster from the football camp, and yes he was hanging out afterwards with shirt in hand (it was 90 degrees in Glick ...AC problems). My thought was this is a kid one week out from his last class as a junior in HS and he looks like this . His arms don't do his torso justice. His dad was there and he also looked like he didn't miss many days at the gym.
Velasquez has certainly been hitting the weights, but he's no more ripped than Samuels.

There are some photos with a 6th OL included. Turns out he's a 4* 6'9" 300# from MN who has all 6 of his predictions to Wisky. His tape is pretty promising...would be a great addition to finish off that position group.
He was definitely a surprise addition to the BBQ. I don't think his name were on any of the articles I saw before. If we don't end up getting Keegan, I wouldn't be surprised if Michigan makes a hard push for Bryce Benhart or Danielson Ike. All 3 are pure tackle prospects so definitely addressing a need.

I just hope Velasquez isnt hitting his physical peak at 18. That seems to happen with some HS players who already come in jacked and huge, all of a sudden they arent twice the size with twice the strength and the game speeds up more than they can handle.
