2017-18 Michigan Athletics season comes to a close

Another fantastic season in the books. 2017-18 saw 12 Conference Championships total won by 10 different Michigan teams. Including a B1G-leading 11 B1G Championships.

In addition to the 12 Conference crowns, Michigan teams brought home 5 NCAA Regional Championships. Ben Flanagan of Men's Outdoor Track & Field won a thrilling race in the 10,000M a few days ago, taking an individual NCAA National Championship.

Fall sports were phenomenal. 4 of the 7 Fall sports won the B1G.

Thanks for the post, WD. We are the leaders and best, and we crush it in the Olympic sports.

We know what they've done in football and basketball, but it's also interesting to see how bad Michigan State is in almost every sport. They aren't just mediocre - they're at or near the bottom of the B1G in almost every sport. Before his fall from grace, Mark Hollis was seen as this brilliant AD, but I think that was all based on deciding to hold a basketball game on a battleship. Never mind his ethics; he did a crap job of running a winning program.
