2015 M Lacrosse schedule revealed: B1G Lax

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Double feature today for me, but I had to post this being a Lax season ticket holder and thrilled for the progress we saw last season.

The first year of B1G Lax is upon us. And looky who popped up on the schedule.

Boy, they like to run from Michigan in the sports where Michigan kicks their ass, but they sure like playing us in sports we've had for less than 15 years (men's soccer & men's lacrosse).

This schedule is loaded. My mouth is watering. I hope we get ND at The Big House instead of Oosterbaan, but it looks like ohio will be the Battle in The Big House IV game on April 11th.

Looks like the Lacrosse schedule has also tipped off when the 2015 Spring Game will be for Football since 'Battle is held after it.

It's gonna be a great year in 2015. Progress. Team 4.

Wow. That is a serious schedule. Looks like a 14 game regular season, with 8 of those games coming against teams that were in the NCAA tournament either of the past 2 years. It'll be a challenge to have a record much different than last year's, but if we can make some progress and steal one of those tough games, it'll give the team quite a bit of confidence. I hope we get ND at oosterbaan, but only because we seem to play better there and there is no way I'd want to sit out in the cold at that time of year. Maybe they will chicken out on that game and want it played outside.

7-7 is the best that could be hoped for. ND, Drexel, Cornell, Md, OSU, Hop, PSU are all almost guaranteed losses.

I find it really interesting that not only has the schedule been improved via B1G, but also through adding some new non conference powerhouses.

I agree that 7-7 is on the high end, but I don't think a few of those are guaranteed losses. We took Cornell into OT last year, and Drexel and OSU are winnable games. We'd be underdogs, but they're winnable. No High Points, Mercers, Furmans, etc on this schedule. But we should be much improved.
