2015-2016 Football Video Highlights

Submitted by GVSUGoBlue on

Found a video on youtube that goes chronologically through the season. Offseason on the MGoBoard is boring so I figured that this deserved to be posted. Certain parts of the video are painful but the improvement throughout the season is very encouraging. 1 hour 44 minutes of football worth watching. I'll attempt to embed but may need help. Go Blue!

I think I will save this for tomorrow - I have a meeting about feature-length film...well....length that I really don't know that I want to be at, so this footage would be perfect. I can look as if I am involved in a deep, meaningful and information-filled exchange too and everyone should pay it little mind....unless I am asked a question, in which case I will feign ignorance.

Two things we didn't have in 2015... Offense: I want to see a 1000+ yard rusher emerge this season and show up in big games. Defense: I want to see dual-threat QBs limited, namely the guy in Columbus.

I noticed a few things

1. Drake Johnson will continue to be good. People constantly forget about him but he is a hell of a player

2. We will miss Houma. He destroyed Florida and was an effective ball carrier and blocker

3. We were 50/50 in our 50/50 games (Indiana, Minny, MSU, Utah) I think those drop to 2 this year. We were spanked by OSU and I think that is a thing of the past. Im guessing 0-2 regular season games for losses this year depending on how the breaks go.

4. To free up carries for Isaac and Johnson how about half of Smiths plays are as a high usage fullback. 25 at RB 25 at FB? Giviing him 15 touches at RB and 8 at FB? Smith could be Houma 2.0 if not better and with Isaac and Johnson behind him man is that a lot of talent.
