Indiana, Penn State, and Purdue rotate off the schedule.  I'm a little disappointed that we have Wisconsin at home the same year that we have Ohio, Nebraska, and (probably) Notre Dame at home ... would've been nice to add another top B1G team to the home slate in 2016 to go along with MSU.

Using the PDF, I laid out just our schedule graphically:

Week 2013 2014 2015 2016
3   at Indiana
4 Minnesota   at Michigan State Michigan State
5 at Penn State Michigan State Wisconsin at Minnesota
6 Indiana at Minnesota Minnesota Northwestern
7   Penn State at Illinois
8 at Michigan State Iowa   at Wisconsin
9 Nebraska at Nebraska Nebraska Illinois
10 at Northwestern   at Northwestern at Nebraska
11 at Iowa Northwestern at Iowa Iowa
12 Ohio at Ohio Ohio at Ohio

I found it interesting that weeks 9 through 11 sort of settle into a semi-stable pattern actually, with Nebraska 3 out of 4 years in the same week, as well as Iowa in Week 11 and Northwestern 2 out of 4 years in week 10.

For years, it's seemed like the BT schedule-makers think football is golf and want to play with "handicaps."  It's like Michigan never really gets an even schedule.  If that schedule holds up, they will have to play Iowa and Nebraska again in the two weeks before Ohio.  In the past, it seemed like MIchigan was always having to play Wiscy before Ohio, while Ohio played someone like NW that week.

I'm not asking for favors, but they could at least use their heads a little bit when making the schedule to ensure fair competition for everyone.

Edit...should have read further down...but figured it'd be in reply to this comment first.

But really, how does that happen?

2015 looks to be perfect. if we are going to be heading towards competing to a National Championship that looks like the year to circle.  Shane will be a Redshirt Sophmore/Junior.  The Beasts on the line we have been recruiting the last 2 years will be upperclassman, several upperclassmen big receavers.  Should be a good year for us.

How does Sparty miss Ohio State, Penn State, and Wisconsin in 2013 and 2014.  Obviously we will have to take care of business but talk about a scheduling sham!

I think the B1G half-assed this schedule just to troll us, because by the time those years even come close to rolling around, the conference will have expanded.

I can feel it coming.
