2010 Favorite MGoBoard Posters

Submitted by ILL_Legel on

First time starting a thread so there's that.  As I was killing time today, I came across a plethora of 2010 Best Of lists and starting thinking about my favorite site.  I won't pretend this is a best of, it is strictly my top 5 favorite MGoBoard posters this year (not talking diaries here - way too many great diarists).

There are many, many interesting contributors and this site is a must see for me everyday but these are my top 5.

1. TomVH - The Minister of Information

2. jhackney - I'm biased toward all things Hunter S. Thompson but hackney is also someone who comes across like I've known him for years.

3. MDoc - Simply for The Denarding.  That was a special piece of work.  Thanks for creating and sharing it.

4. Magnus - I might get sent to Bolivia for this but I simply like what Magnus contributes.

5. aaamichfan - Helped me out with a video (Will Farrell meatloaf)  and can evoke a good laugh.

I'm hoping this doesn't turn negative and it gives those of us with nothing going on today one more topic to discuss.  Enjoy your holidays however you celebrate!

Hell... It's Christmas (almost)...  everybody gets my vote (and upvote)...  Except the trolls of course...

And on that note... another beer please.   Merry Xmas

There is a lot of great posters here. The thing I like the most is the good balance of dick jokes and intelligent comments. You can read a thread and have a good laugh while reading about some little known fact about UM football.

This is by far my favorite website and there are quite a few that I really enjoy here. I cant wait to meet as many of you as possible right here in Dallas in 2012 for the Alabama game. Go Blue

Lloyd Brady.

I assume if he reads the site, there's a solid chance he posts as well. Thus, it's impossible for him to not be my favorite poster, even if I don't know what poster he is.

Also, I met him at the Big Chill briefly. He is dreamy.

EDIT: meant to reply to the OP, oh well.

Thus vaguely. If you want to read something into something on face value, like TPryor is racist, you can. The fact that the real guy happens to play for Ohio State and is an idiot has nothing to do with his race.

TPryor

Mr. Pryor says that you, in fact, are making the assertion that the misspellings and ill constructed pieces are indicative of him being African American instead of the fact he is poorly educated and unwilling to construct qualifiable sentences. Because of this, he asserts "you done proved yourself idiot" and received many high fives as a result of a derogatory remark at your expense that I will not repeat.

Please refrain from making similar assertions in the future. Thank you.

I'm going to assume that by listing "MGoProfit" you mean me.  I'm assuming this because I really want to be in someone's list of favorites.  And I also want to be grouped with FormerlyAnonymous because he is one of my favorites as well.  If I assumed correctly, thanks a million!  If not, well, then, I've just made an a-- out of myself haven't I.

cfaller96 - rarely seen, but delivers his message with a hard edge

TomVH - no explanation required

I certainly do appreciate those who provide a lot of analysis and content on the football team with statistics and what-not, like Mathlete, Enjoy Life, etc., and I also appreciate those who keep things moving with their informed comments/opinions like Block M, Geaux_Blue, and Magnus, but my favorites are posters who give us the art, the visuals, the things that would make our eyes jizz in their pants...if they wore pants. Posters like:

Shredder (gotta love the paint)

Ghost of Bo (seriously, Michigan super hero photoshop Epic WIN!)

Six Zero (Wife Day is art, so don't even argue)

monuMental (no explanation needed)

Their work makes me happy that I have eyes. Thanks for your contributions, and I look forward to a 2011 filled with more eye candy.

Thank you for the kind words, good sir. I will reciprocate by adding you to my list of this year's best posters.

In no particular order:

UMAizinBlue - A man of wit, enthusiasm, and devotion who exemplifies the Schembechlerian ideal of a Michigan Man.

Shredder - Shredder's awe-inspiring MSPaint creations spurred on my own creativity and set a high-water mark in the world of MGoVisualArts.

Magnus - This is obligatory, but obligatory for a reason. Magnus has accrued many MGoPoints, but not by pandering to the majority. He possesses a rapist wit and has the power to end a discussion with a mere sentence. Board legend.

jhackney - Nuclear 'splosions everywhere! Followed, of course, by his own brand of humor and insight.

aaamichfan - Easily the best avatar in the MGoCommunity. His posts are amusing and often prescient. Cheers, sir.

Boyz in da Pahokee - The king of uploads. The keeper of the Michigan Jedi holocron. The Sultan of Streams. Your tireless work has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated.

There are certainly others that I've failed to add to the list. These were just a few that spring to my somewhat drunken mind at the moment. Thank you all for making this the best community on the interwebz. I'm a displaced Wolverine living in Nashville, and the MGoBoard feels like going home again in 5- and 10-minute chunks.

Happy Holidays, all.

The redhead guy who told stories about his Korean fiance and got jacked up by a 4'11 98 lb Korean girl playing flag football

Aside from the obvious (Brian, Boyz in da Pahokee, Misopogon,

MGoShoe-  for beating my RSS feeds to the punch

His Dudeness- can come off an jerk, but I have much respect for someone who stands up (particularly during the CC fiasco over the last month or so)

Enjoy Life - Legendary license plates

Nomadic Blue - favorite avatar, plus Christmas edition of it.

DavidfromWyoming - mad respect for your avatar as well

Irish - Still confused .. do you have any love for Michigan?  IIRC, you went to UofM but are an ND fan?  That would totally be me, if I were still 13 and an ND fan.  I kid, I kid...kinda.
