Harbaugh must have called Smart and told him we called dibs first
January 30th, 2017 at 12:36 PM ^
I believe it is now up to 13 in a row for Nico to Michigan. Last Georgia ball was on 1/17.

probably may have already told the coaches he's coming but waiting until signing day to announce.
January 29th, 2017 at 11:56 PM ^
Imagine a 5-wide set with Nico Collins (6'5 outside), Oliver Martin (6'0 slot), Tyrone Wheatley Jr. (6'6 seam), DPJ (6'1 slot), Tarik Black (6'4 outside). Size & speed all over the field.

Stop it. A man only has so many pairs of underwear.
January 30th, 2017 at 1:14 AM ^
A man can only get so erect.

Not loving the visuals from these responses.

Is it my birthday?!
They must know it's over if confidence isn't high immediately following the visit when everyone usually has confidence

Maybe Pep can design a new offense with 2 QBs and 4 receivers on the field!
January 30th, 2017 at 1:16 AM ^
Let's just design an offense that lines up only WR, QBs, and TEs
January 30th, 2017 at 7:17 AM ^
That should fix the O-line problem as well.
January 30th, 2017 at 11:43 AM ^
Then my face turned into your avatar. I guess I haven't fully moved on yet.
That said, this offense is going to be ridiculous. I don't think I've ever seen a WR haul like this. Closest is when Toomer and Hayes were in the same recruiting class. Those two, plus Derrick Alexander, were fun to watch.
January 29th, 2017 at 10:25 PM ^
I hope they are just not eff'in with us, if it happens this would be EPIC!
January 29th, 2017 at 11:17 PM ^
Wiltfong is messing around with his CB's.
January 29th, 2017 at 11:30 PM ^
Wiltfong's ballz are his livelihood
January 29th, 2017 at 10:26 PM ^
I thought we were dead in the water on this one. I'm glad to see things may be turning around
January 29th, 2017 at 10:40 PM ^
No, this just Harbaugh screwing with GA for stealing Wilson.
January 29th, 2017 at 10:26 PM ^
I prefer Oliver Martin. Obviously both would be great, but 5 top-end wide receivers in one class? Don't let his three star rating fool you, Hawkins is the real deal.
January 29th, 2017 at 10:28 PM ^
He was a 4 star out of high school.. But yes they dropped him to a 3 star now.
January 30th, 2017 at 10:38 AM ^
That's funny because this past year at his prep school or whatever it is, his tape is far better than his year prior. I don't think we have schools like that over here. It's still Little House on the Prairie stuff or something.
January 29th, 2017 at 10:35 PM ^
Hawkins may be headed for Safety now, which I believe is because Pep put a demand on Martin in this class. I really have heard the Hawkins to Safety rumors out there though. Otherwise yes, I agree Hawkins would be a good WR as well
January 29th, 2017 at 11:28 PM ^
He could definitely play either. Just depends where they want to start him out at. I feel like safety could be quicker to playing time but WR is nearly just as open as safety so who knows
January 30th, 2017 at 5:37 AM ^
They could also just let things sort out and a guy like Hawkins or Martin or black/Collins could get a redshirt. It would allow them to spread out all the wide receivers over like three to four classes instead of the two they w re actually in.
January 29th, 2017 at 10:40 PM ^
It's not that crazy of a class size given that we have essentially no proven WRs returning. We need numbers and hope 2/5 pan out.

January 29th, 2017 at 10:49 PM ^
no proven wr's? the returners are more proven than a hs kid that has never played at the college level.
January 29th, 2017 at 11:06 PM ^
Lol what returners are you speaking of?
Grant Perry who's suspended and probably kicked off the team? Moe Ways who has 5 career receptions? Drake Harris with a whopping 8 career receptions? Eddie McDoom (was awesome as a true freshman runner don't get me wrong), who only caught 5 passes?
I get your point that they already know the playbook, but I don't think they offer anymore upside than these recruits.
January 29th, 2017 at 11:12 PM ^
a returner is someone who has been on the team, practiced, at least has seen the field. i am more interested in those players who have been here for 1 or more years then a highly touted hs kid.
January 29th, 2017 at 11:32 PM ^
I guess I'll agree to disagree. I just don't have a lot of confidence to say the returners have proven anything.
It seems that Pep Hamilton will be installing a lot more spread look to mask these deficiencies, so they will all be learning new plays simultaneously and I wouldn't be suprised if freshman get more playing time. Who knows though.
January 30th, 2017 at 6:14 AM ^
This may be just me - but I kinda doubt it - but I'm "more interested" in DPJ than any WR currently on the roster. And that's not even considering he's coming from our most important pipeline school.
He's by far the highest upside WR we've ever had on the team since the ratings game began. He's ranked similarly to players like Julio Jones coming out of HS. I'll give him a shot!
And the rest of the WR recruits in the class may be potential stars too. Not taking away from those already on the roster, but this class has a whole next level type of potential.
January 30th, 2017 at 8:11 AM ^
DPJ also does a major thing that Harbaugh asks of his WRs, he blocks. I expect at least 25-30 catches from him this season. All we have to do is make sure Sp8 has time to throw.
January 30th, 2017 at 10:41 AM ^
Sp8? The worst thing we can do for this kid as fans is make him believe he has the starting job locked up. He isn't that deserving yet.
January 29th, 2017 at 11:10 PM ^
Obviously not making any claim that they were proven either.
