a) Knowing that Michigan wins,

b) watching Charles Woodson in the winged helmet, or

c) recalling memories of the "Ryan Leaf or Peyton Manning" debate.

Because it was awesome to see Michigan win the National Championship... but it was f-ing lame to share it with Nebraska.  Fuck you Fulmer!  Seriously though, it must have been awesome to be at that game!  I know I enjoyed it just from my living room!

I was there too.  Bottom right corner of Michigan endzone.  Righ behind where Sir Charles flew approximately 187 feet in the air to intercept a pass and keep WSU from going up 14-0.  And in the same general vicinity where the team itself entered the stands to sing the Victors 100millionjillion times with us after the band set up shop 16.7 inches in front of us.

One would think our seats sucked given the sightlines for the game but in reality I wouldn't have traded them for the world.

Before the game was the Wazoo fans around me said, "We've got Ryan Leaf and you got Griese!"   They apparently had never heard of the Heisman Trophy before.   One of the many awesome things was the smile on my face when they announced Brian Griese as the MVP.

You probably read that from me.  Some years back, I started to add up all the UM football games I had seen on Classic from over a 7 year span and I stopped counting once I got to 20 games below .500.  What was most interesting to me was the actual number of Michigan games featured on Classic compared to everyone else.  Not a single team came within 40 games.  Not Ohio State, not Florida, not Nebraska...not even GOD's team, Notre Dame.

ESPN Classic seemed to live by the mantra: if we win, it's expected.  If we lose, it's always an instant classic.  The more heartbreaking the loss, the more likely it would be featured.

That's when I finally threw up my hands and said, "Fuck Classic."  I'm going to upload every Michigan victory I can get my hands on.

Our linebackers were so fast and made great tackles. I hope one day our D will be like this again. Jones and Hall were just monsters. Streets also had a great game. Good times.

One of the best parts of that season was the Heisman Trophy Ceremony. First off, Randy Moss was wearing sunglasses the entire time. Hysterical. Second, Peyton Manning's face when they announced the winner was priceless.
