I see you get it. I think some people on here needed the refresher regarding Jim Harbaugh & Why he is at Michigan.

He is here because he wants to be. The articles that have been posted on here recently have been espn driven writer articles (or as you said dusty) some trying to paint Jim Harbaugh in a negative light & something about his personality and being so competitive. Lot of questions about why would he take the Michigan job & how long will he stay?

ESPN - don't believe everything you read, enough said on that.

Players - Never heard a former player say Jim Harbaugh was to hard on me as a coach, I have read some where they said Jim helped make me the person I am today. He knows how to get the best out of his players.

This has always been Jim's Destination Job. He returned to Michigan and interviewed for a job 2002, didn't get it. Acheived excellence in coaching & look where he is now at Michigan.

The only thing anyone needs to ask is where is Jim Now? Michigan! Why, because it's Michigan!

Go Blue!

Sorry for the preachy!

Carr wanted a more experienced QB Coach at the time, I think it was a QB coach that he had more experience to coach up Hensen? at that time.

That was then, this is now!

Jim Harbaugh came back as our Head Coach! I have always felt this was his Destination Job!

Go Blue!

The Buckeye-Yankees stole him after 2000. 2002 would have been Navarre's junior year. I think it was mainly about actual coaching experience, although in hindsight it's a little shortsighted. Harbaugh played QB in the NFL for 14 years, safe to say he knew a little bit about being QB and coaching QB by that point.

w/e, the prodigal son finally returned to us anyway!

Not to preachy. We had to listen for a month from the NFL gurus and the radio talking heads about how much JH loved the pros and if he did go to Michigan he return soon. JH comments during his presser did what we couldn't ......STFU !!!

He was a busy guy what with visiting Morrie every Tuesday and going to soup kitchens on Christmas Eve. Man, those made up stories really gave him some great material

That was the first Rose Bowl I ever attended and despite my incredible hangover and the fact I went to the game on basically zero sleep the image of Bo calling draw plays for Jamie Morris over and over sticks out in my mind. I also remember it was the first game where we actually went for two early and had a pretty decent early lead (15-3 maybe?) before it all crashed down.

Then we spent hours searching for our car after the game in a pitch black golf course parking lot surrounded by drunken ASU fans waving their fucking Pom poms in my face.

Good times.

I also went to that Rose Bowl. I scored tickets at the last minute and then drove furiously to California from Colorado. After losing, it was a long drive back. Thus, when John Cooper went to OSU I really enjoyed the drubbing we gave him because he ruined my Rose Bowl.

This article should be mandatory reading for all the NFL shield protector zealots. Then they could report that a 'trusted source' has told them that JH's heart is at Michigan.

Now someone please do a report on a week in the life of Jim Harbaugh. This week would be a good start.

The article is 1986 and Harbaugh says "Michigan Man," Bo said it in 1989. Just curious if Harbaugh may be the creator of the Michigan Man tag. Not really relevant, just of interest.

Damn this dust and people cutting onions.

In all seriousness, I don't believe this is just a destination job for JH, but destiny, as cheesy as that sounds. It still feels a little surreal.

Edit: Also, excellent find. Kudos to you.

"And if that sounds a little, well, enthusiastic, remember that this was a kid whose fourth-grade show-and-tell project was a film entitled "A Week In The Life Of Bo Schembechler.""

Please tell me this still exists somewhere. Because it has to be crazy/awesome/ridiculous.
