Ron Kramer

Kramer played three-sports at Michigan(football, basketball, and track) and led both the football and basketball teams in scoring for two years. Altogether, Kramer won a total of nine varsity letters in his three sports — the maximum number possible, as freshmen did not have athletic eligibility at the time.

As a football player Kramer was the leading receiver for the 1954 Wolverines with 23 catches for 303 yards and two touchdowns. At the end of the 1954 season, he was selected as a first-team All-Big Ten player.

As a junior, Kramer caught 12 passes for 224 yards and four touchdowns, and he was selected as a consensus first-team end on the 1955 All American Team.

As a senior, Kramer caught 18 passes for 353 yards and two touchdowns in 1956. At the end of the 1956 season, Kramer was selected as a unanimous first-team player on the 1956 All American Team.

Kramer also handled kicking and punting duties for Michigan. He handled 31 punts for a 40.6 yard average, kicked two field goals, and successfully converted 43 of 51 extra point attempts.Following Kramer's senior year, Michigan retired his jersey number 87 -- one of only five numbers in school history to be retired.

In basketball, He played at the center position and was selected as the team's most valuable player as a junior. He was third-team All-Big Ten in 1957 after being second-team All-Big Ten in both 1955 and 1956. He held the Michigan career scoring record of 1,119 points from 1957 until 1961.

Kramer was selected 4th overall by the Green Bay Packers in 1957, where he won 2 NFL championships. He was selected to 1 pro-bowl (1962) 1 First-Team All Pro (1962) 1 Second-Team All Pro (1963) and the NFL's 50th Anniversary  All-Time team.

He played before 99% of the voters were born therefore not that good.

Next up #17 Cassie Russell and then at #16 some dude named Harmon or something.

Why do I think the top three will be Denard Robinson, Zolton Mesko and Nik Stauskas?

I wonder what the age distribution for registered users of MGoBlog is?  Who's the youngest, who's the oldest, and what the distribution looks like?

I'd guess youngest is probably in low double-digits ... maybe 11 or 12?

I'd guess the oldest is in high 70's or maybe even 80's.

Distribution median likely down in the high 20's or low 30's, with a long tail to the right.
