Also...Oklahoma/Texas Tech had a hour and a half delay so they're only in the 3rd quarter. However, they'll be switching the game to FOX News because the World Series at 7:30p.

Yep. The one thing I have learned after years of watching college football is that the transitive property applies, always.

Baylor going back on offense. Up 45-0 five minutes into 3rd quarter.

Does anybody else notice how freakin open the middle of the field is now that OSU has stretched the PSU defense to the edges?

More points for Ohio tonight == more points for sanity. Like I've said before, not every single run has to be between the tackles. Taunting your viewers with pump fake bubble screens is not endearing.
October 26th, 2013 at 9:26 PM ^
That first Penn State drive accounts for about 90% of all their yardage in the game so far, so now would be the time to actually have a pulse, I would think. Still, Ohio State is close to having 300 yards on the half all the same.

Time to stop telling ourselves Ohio isn't really that good and have just been lucky and playing a poor schedule. At this point they're noticeably better than anyone in the B1G, including us, as well as a top five team. We have a shot with the game in Ann Arbor but they have to be the favorite.
October 26th, 2013 at 9:32 PM ^
OSU is obviously a very good team but I think this game is telling us more about how stubborn Al is than anything else. Michigan would have won the PSU game by a few TD's if Al would have made some simple in game adjustments. Fuck!!!!!!
October 26th, 2013 at 9:54 PM ^
They are noticeably better, but if they are so much above the rest of the conference, why did they struggle against Wisconsin, Iowa, and Northwestern?
October 26th, 2013 at 10:42 PM ^
Yeah. This game they really planned for. They're not that much better than the upper tier of the conference; they just are killing it this week only.

So MSU is awful and lucky and now the Buckeyes are overrated. Is there someone on M's schedule you respect for winning a lot of games?

October 26th, 2013 at 9:39 PM ^
So MSU has been lucky, for years? OK
October 26th, 2013 at 9:44 PM ^
MSU has been good for 3 years and mediocre for 3 years since Dantonio got there. If those are your standards for what you want from Michigan, we shouldn't have a problem.

You know you're on that schedule?
October 26th, 2013 at 9:38 PM ^
OSU is rated #4. No reasonable persons believes they are the 4th best team in the country. No one outside of Ohio would pick them of Alabama, Oregon, Stanford, FSU, Clemsons, etc.
That NWST win that looked impressive. Not so much anymore. Giving up 34 to Cal looked ok when Cal's QB looked like he was really good. Now he is about to get benched.
October 26th, 2013 at 9:50 PM ^
Four is about right. Alabama, Oregon and Florida State look better right now. But Clemson and Stanford? I don't see them as overmatched against either, in fact I'd say they're better.

Like it or not, they're winning....we'd take it if it was us

Pointing out the overrated-ness of the team that beats you is a real good way to get ranked higher, right?

UNLEASH SCHEMATIC ADVANTAGE
October 26th, 2013 at 9:43 PM ^
Kansas is unconcerned by the need to score 38 points in the next 17 minutes just to get this one to OT. It is because of these situations that the schematic advantage was conceived.

Mind you, OSU barely beat Iowa last week. This PSU team on the road is a completely different animal than they were at home two weeks ago.

Bull.
What a terrible metric. "Best to worst." At this point, maybe NU is low on the list, but they aren't when they're at full strength with Mark, Coulter, and Siemian.
It's more like:

OSU get the ball to the outside throwing and PSU ends up with seven in the box. TD Carlos Hyde. Fire Borges.
October 26th, 2013 at 9:38 PM ^
1. Bubble screen
2. Bubble screen
3. Inside trap for TD
I LOVE this. Shows exactly what could've....no SHOULD'VE been.
October 26th, 2013 at 9:42 PM ^
I would like to buy you a beer sometime. Al Borges has to go. The man is going to cost Michigan football games in the future.

I don't understand the mentality of watching other teams' games to see what Michigan isn't doing correctly.
OSU is attacking the PSU defense more effectively than we did. Now what? With this knowledge, do we go back in Doc Brown's time machine and implement this gameplan two weeks ago?
