10-1

This is a hottake/emotional Sunday morning before The Game thread, but I am so proud of our team and their record.

This time last year I was miserable the way the season went and after the ND game this season I just about gave up. Glad that we did what we did to be in this position.

Great job to the Michigan Team, coaches, and players.

I also am so damn proud of our team!

I have been the epitome of BPONE for a long time because of this team, but they have done a damn good job this season. I finally feel like we have the horses (especially with Shea at QB) to be on par athletically with most of the teams in the country. A top Big Ten QB, a deep group of solid receivers, a couple good TEs, an NFL-caliber RB in Higdon and another RB who runs with aggressiveness in Wilson, an above-average Big Ten OL, and another monster Don Brown defense. This should be the expectation going forward -- playing for the division title in the Ohio State game.

I predicted 8-4 or 7-5, and I was totally damn wrong, and I'm happy to say that. Beating Wisconsin, Penn State, and MSU feels awesome. Chapeau to the team! The bowel-shaking nervousness of watching games live is somewhat mitigated now.

I still have BPONE for The Game though, but that's for another thread. DVR engaged.

Some more perspective: during the 11 seasons before Harbaugh, Michigan had a total of two seasons with at least 10 wins, 2006 and 2011.

The only other Power 5 (+ND) teams with at least three 10-win seasons during Harbaugh’s tenure:

Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Georgia, Oklahoma State

Only Northwestern, Washington, and Penn State can join that group with strong finishes to the season and Michigan can stop Northwestern from doing so.

I went in thinking a loss at Notre Dame, a potential loss at Northwestern, hopefully taking 2 of 3 in the tough stretch of Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Penn State...I was wrong, and glad I was.
