I love his writing and am therefore extremely disappointed with what Dr. Saturday has become since he left.

For that reason I must ask, does anyone know how to add just Hinton's writing from the CBS feed to my RSS reader?

As for the article itself, I strongly agree.  If nothing else, it would help to reduce the number of B10 games that I only partially get to watch because there's 4 or 5 all on January 1 which overlap each other.  Such a system would also help reduce the B10 vs. SEC bowl games which has helped to hurt the B10's reputation (I doubt the B12's football would be thought of as highly if all of their games were road games against the best conference).

The idea of playing 3 supposedly important games on New Years Eve is horrible, in my opinion. I won't be able to watch them most of the time and wonder what casual fans will. NYE isn't even a holiday so people will be at work for the day games.

...the New Year's Eve bit is pretty dumb.  People have other priorities at the time.

Part of the reason that New Year's Day has always worked so well is that so many people wake up late, stumble out of bed and turn on the TV to watch the games.  Nobody really wants to leave the house when they've got a bit of a hangover and they know full well that the next day it's:  holidays over, back to work.
