Tarot reading concerning Rich Rod as Michigan's football coach

Submitted by Evanl on
After the game I was feeling pretty down so I asked my girlfriend to do my tarot reading.  Mine went ok.  According to the tarot I am going to be traveling soon (which is good because I live in Ohio).

After my tarot, my girlfriend suggested we do a 5 card spread for Rich Rod and the Michigan football team's future.  The question I asked it was if Rich Rod will turn the program around and win a national championship here at Michigan.

Photo is below, with breakdown of the spread. (edit, I can't figure out how to upload from my computer so I will just describe the cards)

Present situation
Nine of Wands: You have prepared yourself for your eventual victory. All the hard work you have put in will pay off. You have to just overcome the final obstacle. You will enjoy good health. Your strength and stamina will be at its peak.

Past situation
Five of Wands: This is time to test your courage. There may be some legal battles to be fought. There may be a lot of conflicts and a period of struggle. You may get frustrated with the minor problems but this can be overcome with some patience and conviction. You may also face stiff competition from your rivals.

Hidden Influences
Ace of Cups: This signifies beginning of a new life, journey or love. You feel spiritually fulfilled. The intuitive and creative mind is active and such projects will succeed. The unconscious mind may become more active.

Advice
Six of Swords: You may go on a long journey, mostly probably by sea. This may be the calmer period after turbulent times. This is an important time in your life. Situation will improve. You will find the solutions to your problems.

Likely Outcome
Ten of Cups: This is the time for happiness. Relationships will be fruitful. There will be domestic bliss. You will be emotionally balanced. Success and rewards will be seen soon. A harmonious and secure environment will be experienced.

So according to the tarot things are going to be looking up!

p.s. my girlfriend is a grey witch so if you need any crystals blessed or curses cast let me know.

Is it just me, or are all of these things just vague enough that you could find some truth in them regardless of the past or the future? Whoever invented tarot cards is laughing all the way to the bank. But yay for the future!

I wonder if the six of swords could be referring to a distant future where Rich Rod is AD and conducting a coaching search. Because of future advances in communications he receives word on his yacht that Bill Belichick III is interested in coaching UM. BB III leads UM to 12 consecutive wins vs OSU/intergalactic BCS titles.

Sounds like either things are looking up for RR, or he's soon going to be on an overseas adventure fighting dragons and rescuing damsels in distress. Hopefully he makes it back in time for the Spring Game.

of most everyone worrying about how soon M will win a national title. Honest to Christ, it sounds like the Buckeyes every friggin year! What happened to winning your conference? What happened to winning the Rosebowl? The same people who bitch about the BCS screwing everything up are the ones who are forgetting where true respect really comes from. Winning your conference year in and year out shows up on everyone's radar. How many years since the BCS began has there been controversy concerning who #1 really is? #1 OSU vs #2 Michigan in November. A large throng of people believed because the game was so close that they should replay each other for the National Title. OSU gets throttled in the title game. Please stop worrying about a game where computers and voting decide who gets to play. Worry instead about winning what's tangible. Worry instead that even a conference title isn't perfect due to the fact that we still don't play everyone in the conference. One step at a time; next year - winning season and bowl bid. year after - run at the conference, possible win the conference. year after that win the conference. That's 3 years. No mention of a National Title. RR is still here and all this babbling is moot. Having said that, where's the cheapest place to buy those tarot cards?

Nine of Wands sounds like beating OSU to get to a BCS bowl. Works for me. Five of Wands sounds like, well, now. Ace of Cups. That should have been taking the job here in the first place, but that wouldn't be right with the first two cards. Maybe it signifies RR getting behind-the-scenes assurance of coaching until year X. Six of Swords sounds like the Hawai'i Bowl, except a) no Big Ten tie-in and b) no likely way we could slip in. The WAC with only two bowl-eligible teams (not in BCS bowls)? Ten of Cups sounds like beating USC in the Rose Bowl and then telling people to suck it.
