Who wanted cooler temps? Who wanted less humid conditions? Mother Nature is like the Old El Paso commercial saying, porque no los dos? :) It certainly feels a lot more like football weather! We're ending up between high pressure to the northeast and low pressure, the remnants of Gordon, to the southwest - so we'll be dry, but also cooler and breezier Saturday. Rain then arrives Sunday as the remnants of Gordon move in. You'll want to have that fancy new long-sleeve for this one, especially if you'll be out early to tailgate or late to celebrate!
It'll be a crisp & cool tailgate for you early birds! We'll have some cloud cover with temps in the mid 50s to start your day. Winds will already be up at around 10mph (leaves are in constant motion), adding just a little extra chill to the air. This is one of those good mornings for breakfast casserole or cinnamon rolls in the crockpot... or grab the thermos and pass around the spiked coffee! By mid morning ENE winds will be up near 15mph and you'll start to notice some gusts around 20mph (small branches move, you'd see a lot of white horses if you were on the water).
66 degrees and mostly cloudy skies for the start! See? Feels like Fall! We'll have winds out of the ENE at 15mph, gusting to the mid 20s (you'll see trees sway a bit). Dewpoints will be running in the mid 50s, putting us in that comfortable range humidity-level-wise. It'll be a toss up if you want a cold drink or hot chocolate!
We're starting to edge up toward 70 by the middle of the game - and this is pretty much it for the day! We should be in the mid 70s this time of year, so we'll be a little below average. Winds remain out of the ENE around 15mph, gusting up to 25mph. We'll get some brightness here and there but a decent amount of clouds are sticking around for the afternoon.
Mostly cloudy skies stay with us to finish out the game and walk out of the gates with that first home game win! We'll stay dry for the rest of the afternoon and evening, so not a bad one to head back and bring all of the tailgating stuff right back out again! If you're planning on going out to dinner, temps will drop to the mid 60s but we'll start to lose the wind gusts. Winds stay steady at 15mph and we'll slowly turn overcast going into the late night hours. If you're staying out until last call, your call may be for a ride because it will be cool (mid 50s) and do you really want to walk back at the end of a noon-start game day? nah :P (Be smart, don't drink and drive) Sunday brings likely rain showers, mid 60s, and a breezy NE wind once again. Let's GO BLUE!
