DYNAMIC PRICING

Okay, so the Athletic Department has called us out and asked us to put our loyalty in our wallet.  I'm really frustrated by the pricing changes-- esp. when adding in the costs of a road trip, dining in A2, and the assorted purchases at Moes, MDen, that dude on the corner, etc.  But I suppose I understand why it's being done.

Not that I like it one bit.  Go Blue.

Granted, the AD wants to make money. And since Don Canham the AD has always been a national pioneer when it comes to making money. There has been a lot of benefit to Michigan sports programs because of that. At the same time, support for public institutions across the board has gone down dramatically during the same past 50 years, with this "market knows best" prevailing wind on an upsurge. While this may (or may not) result in increased revenues (John Bacon was on TKA this morning arguing logically how it may end up being a wash), it will certainly lock out a lot of people of relative lower wealth from big games.
