They only have 11 players with senior eligibility listed on their official roster, but I'd guess they're a few more scholarships under the 85 limit (currently given to walkons on a year-to-year basis).

after thier midseason revitalization, Zooker will probably make a good late push for more recruits. I would image they'll fnish top half of Big Ten recruiting again when all's said and done. The real losers in the recruiting this year are going to be Penn St and Minnesota judging from early returns.

1) the real question is, are there any Minn commits that we would want that would help out? As I look, I see 1 lowly rated DB and some middling LB's. I would say no to this
2) To me the elephant in the corner of the room is if Notre Dame tanks and misses a bowl game, how many of their recruits will go running once the ND vitriol gets spewed again? At some point, all the coaching instability and 15+ years of not being a consistent national player have to weigh on those 4 and 5 star recruits, right?
3) can we hire Pat Fitzgerald as a consultant on special teams recruiting for like a week and a half?

So the good class may be justified, but is this a better class than they usually have. I do not follow recruiting classes as good as I would like, so I am not familiar with how their classes have panned out in the past years. I will be a little disapointed if they end up with a better class than we have.
