This is Betting the Big Ten. I started this diary about halfway through last year, and am trying to keep it up for the sake of writing more after closing the door on trying to write as my career.

I apologize that everything you thought you might get with this post wasn't one click away, but that rather it's two clicks away because you have to click on the PDF below. I've had a tough time posting this diary in the past, and it turns out I had a tough time posting this diary today, too. I'm not exactly sure what's wrong (when I try to post, I get a "Forbidden" and "403" error thing), and I didn't want to bother Seth because I know he's busy as all heck this time of year. I had this issue last year, and he said that I might have some JavaScript in my text. I'm not an expert when it comes to code, but I read through the HTML code and I couldn't find anything that would keep me from posting. If anyone reading this has any tips or thoughts, they would be much appreciated.

Anyway, if you want an overwrought analysis of some Big Ten games this week (just three in this post, the head-to-head Big Ten matchups) based on last year's stats and this year's projections, preluded by some allegorical bull crap that may or may not be semi-deeply personal, please click the PDF that I assume is below. Either way, very excited for football to start. It snuck up on me this year (I got married in early August) that was surprisingly delightful, and now I'm all jittery.
