Aramide Olaniyan Visiting this Weekend

I just spoke to Aramide Olaniyan, and he told me he will be taking an unofficial visit to Michigan this weekend, for the Notre Dame game. He sounded VERY excited about coming up, he told me, "I owe it to myself to come see Michigan now, and also in the winter."

He'll be using one of his official visits to Michigan as well in the second week of December. "I am definitely considering Michigan right now, it's a great school, and I'm just really excited to go up there," he said.

He's excited to see the atmosphere, and the crowd at the Big House. After speaking with him, I could sense some very real excitement from him. I will have a follow up with him after his visit, to see where he's at with his recruitment.

This weekend could potentially be a huge weekend for recruiting. If all goes well, this could turn the thought process of Olaniyan, and possibly push some other recruits to commit.

Among the other recruits coming are:

- Bobby Swigert
- Josh Furman
- Delante Hollowell
- DeAnthony Arnett - I also spoke to him tonight, and he is definitely excited to see the game. He told me that Michigan was his first offer, but he doesn't plan on making a decision any time soon.
- There will be a good amount of 2011 recruits, I'm just not sure of all of them yet.

He is a high character young man that is for sure and is serious about his academics. He will be one of those players that every coach wishes they have more of, at whatever school he decides on. If that were to be UM it would not surprise me one bit.

Does anyone know if he is related to C.J. Olaniyan? I would think so since the name Olaniyan isnt exactly "Robinson" which seems to be every other player Michigan is recruiting.

I dont they are a package deal or anything, Im just wondering.

Okay, guys, this weekend, everybody look really academic. Cheer your heads off, sure, but when Aramide looks around, let him catch you sneaking a read of James Joyce, or overhear you chatting casually to your friends about Failure Mode and Effect Analysis.

Wear glasses.

I just watched A. Olanyian's film for the first time...and, like, whoa, that kid is SUPER explosive on his first step. I did find it somewhat odd that he was always lined up as a DE even though he is only about 200 lbs., however. I wonder if he would be able to make the transition to standing up and covering TE's or RB's if he came to UM and played the Quick or OLB?

The fact that his top four schools right now are Duke, Michigan, North Carolina, & UCLA speaks volumes about his academic intentions. Now if we can just beat Notre Dame in front of 110,000 angry fans in the big house, maybe we can stand out a bit. GO BLUE

saw another poster mention it, but what happened here? i thought UM was a virtual lock for this guy. a little disappointed but i guess we move on and find another. what is harbaugh telling these kids to get them to stanford. i know the academics are top notch but the football program is average to below average at best. as for Aramide Olaniyan i'd love to see him lining up on D for the wolverines in the future
