Paul Bunyan Muppets Comment Count

It was a blowout until it wasn't, and Mark Dantonio couldn't decide whether he was trying to win this game. Pick a lane, Mark, or get run over. Nevertheless, Paul Bunyan's ugly mug returns to Ann Arbor for the first time in a while.

Muppets? MUPPETS.

And of course, you can't have one without the other.

What curse? This game honestly gave you confidence that Dantonio and MSU won't win against Michigan for the next few years? This win felt like 2012...a blip in the streak of MSU Ws. Really wanted that blowout against a historically bad MSU team like they would do to us.

This is ridiculous.  Our sophomore QB made his first real career road start (sorry Rutgers) and looked fantastic.  We scored our highest point total against them in 11 years despite taking our foot off the gas in the fourth quarter.

To compare this to 2012 where we couldn't score a TD with our senior QB, in our own stadium, is crazy.  That was a last-second escape, whereas this was a clear victory that looks close because of a vanity TD with 1 second on the clock.

And that is the biggest news of the day . . . . in a tough environment against a highly motivated team, Speight did not fold . . . he thrived.  He's making the Rudock transformation, just in time for November.

Our D will be fine.  It was a shaky Speight that was the big concern.  Does not look like it should be.

You can score - but only if the receiving team has possession and then fumbles.  Or if a live ball is recovered in the end zone by the kicking team.

But either way it doesn't matter if you're down five or six, unless you think you can't make the PAT.
