Alright, that hurt a bit, but I'm fine.

Wait, is that the ref?

I'm literally dead, ref.

/very convincing leg drop

10. HarBros

"So, how would you feel about taking the Indy job?"

9. Chesson Jets

Note Darboh escorting Will Likely to the sideline as Chesson turns the corner. Mountain goat receivers: still a thing.

RPS +3 (blockers in acres of space)

7. Dive Like Desmond

What, were you expecting a different Desmond?

6. Don't. Throw. At. Jourdan. Lewis.

Especially not when you're throwing late across the middle.

5. Henry Power Toss

"Hey, Daxx, why don't you take a shot at quarterback."
"Sure, Coach."

[five minutes later]

"Uh, Coach? I'd like to transfer to a conference without any Willie Henrys."

(Replay angle.)

4. High Fi-- Uh, Bump It

Couldn't put it better.

3. Are You Serious?

Not fearing the turtle, if I'm being honest.

2. "Good shit, Jedd"

Following the Patriots-inspired, impossible-to-stop two-point conversion. Yes, it appears Jedd Fisch made a good playcall.

The official looking down like "who, exactly, are you trying to fool?" at the end only adds to the greatness of this GIF.

My favorite part about the Buttscreen isn't actually on the gif, but still makes me laugh when I think about it. Just before Rudock threw the ball, Millen was talking about how great the coverage was downfield...whoops

Brian is always bringing up the non-call of illegal receivers downfield in college?  I see linemen blockers 8 yards downfield on that Buttscreen.  Looks like that worked out to our advantage... or perhaps I might not understand that rule correctly.

1. Where he can't field the punt, is upset and walking off, then sees an opportunity to block a guy and lowers his shoulder.

2. Where he tries to do a kick up / rising handspring after getting tackled.

I noticed that too, so I watched it a couple of times. Braden's guy, who he whiffs on, is the one who eventually makes the tackle. If Braden gets that block, Butt scores. Still great effort on Braden's part, not easy for a lineman to stalk block a DB.

My favorite part of the play is, of course, all the linemen downfield with Butt as he gallops fervently downfield. The topper is #71 being at the 25 yardline with Butt as he's tackled. That's over 40 yards downfield for those keeping score at home.

Can one you MGoRules gurus explain to a rules novice like myself why the "inelligble receiver downfield" rule doesn't apply to the BUTTSCREEN? It looked to me like Kalis and Glasgow took off downfield well before the ball was thrown. Braden was the only one who seemed to wait near the LoS and wait until the ball was thrown.

Henry just envelopes that qb. It's like he swallows him whole and spits him out. You can see and imagine the qb's stark terror as Henry suddenly appears there looming over him like a fucking grizzly bear. That's my pick. Give the d some.

My gif of the game didn't show up in this. It's any of the hundred times per game Durkin goes absolutely batshit crazy with "ragecitement".

I could just watch D.J. Durkin for 3 hours.

Because there's a thing such as a giant ogre literally tossing a human being like a merry go round throwing off a tiny child because it's going too fast.

And then holy crap the fake death is possibly the most hilarious fake death I ever saw live on TV. That was one of those things that usually gets overlooked a little bit live but it was so obvious of what was actually going on there that I could not stop laughing out loud despite the penalty against Michigan. I mean I wasn't even mad. Great work, punter.

Fav post of the week always.
I would love to see the "Bad lip reading guys do some of these .gifs , they would be lure gold. Love that Butt TD, that play is a thing of beauty.

That OG #75 made probably the lamest cut block attempt ever. Curled up into a ball while his QB got tossed.  Loved how Henry's two arms simultaneously crashed down onto Garman's head and shoulders.

Indeed, in response to each and every one of the Terps' cut-blocks, all of Michigan's front four keep their feet or get right back up on their feet while the Terps are still rolling around on the ground.  Makes me think back to the Air Force game and Michigan's seeming inability to adjust to that style.

Henry gets the win for me.  My favorite part?  At one point every single Maryland OL is on the ground flat and several D are closing in to clean up - not that Henry needed any help.

October 6th, 2015 at 7:34 PM ^

On the Willie Henry Gojira sack, the Maryland version of Brian is giving the Terp's O-Line -4's and -5's when doing the UFR, if he even made it this far into the game tape.
