I have no doubt someone showed McGary the old Schembecher speech, "the team, the team, team."  In that speech, Schembechler says exactly the same thing as McGary said at today's press conference...when you go pro, you play for a contract.  When you play at Michigan, it's the last chance you will ever play for a true team.  Even from the grave, Bo is helping Michigan!  Go blue!

We play and watch sports for glory.  By coming back to Michigan next year, Mcgary and GRIII will play for glory again.

They will see money when they go to the NBA, but they may never see glory again.  They could ride the bench or be on a bottom feeder team.  Unless they are hurting for the money, it will be there for them in another year.  But the glory may never come their way again.

The coming back talk is insane. They could never see any money, and I know that is unlikely. They may be losing out on a year of making 500k or more, since they will only play until 30 if lucky. They could win a championship at Michigan (please baby Jesus) and increase their first year earning to millions. The talk of glory is nice, but they will live once. Glory will not pay their retirement. Just playing devils advocate here.

College is the best time of most people's lives and being a star on campus would make it even better. I would never leave early. They will have comfortable lives whether they play pro ball or not. There are tons of wealthy UM alums who will hire them after school.

Muppets are becoming watered down for me as they are being posted way too frequently.  Glad the two are back, though.  This was the decision to make for each of them

College ball is nowhere near the spectacle it used to be when players used to stay. The fans are gypped of quality players and the players are gypped of the college life they will never get back. Many will ride the pine and be busts.
