Illinois Links: Preview, FFFF Offense (chart), FFFF Defense (chart)

The Law: As always, the Liveblog Chaos Mitigation Post is The Law.

New features this week: Breathing.

How to use: You can + and - comments by clicking either button then clicking the comment you want to moderate. You start with 100% health and Level 1--if you get +'d you can gain levels and post more quickly.

So the liveblog doesn't become a deluge, the frequency you can post is limited by the blue bar—your "mana"—that gradually recharges. You spend mana every time you comment, the mana cost at that moment depending on your level and how fast and furious the comments are flying.

Watching the Illinois bench. How do you keep your spirit up when prospects are so bleak, you're not sure if everyone's bought in, and you can't even be sure if your coach is in it for the long haul, or just — as one of the MGoBloggers put suggested — in a slow-motion retirement?

When your offense can't do it ... all that is left is for the defense to bail you out.

It's a constant issue.  The offense is so flat this second half and looks terrible.

Shea continues to look bad and throw off that back foot (which result in short throws / throws with no punch).  Ugh

The D can't do it all and hold when it's 3 and out and 3 and out and 3 and out etc.

We won this and I knew we would but this offense still needs lots of work.  I was really surprised we didn't see DM late in the 4th.  My only guess is we had this game and they wanted to make sure he is well rested.   I truly would like to see him in this offense and see how he performs in a full game.  I like Shea but he just doesn't make the throws or reads I wish he would.  Yes I know ..... broken record here.  What a difference in halves for the offense.
