The blog is outdoors making hot dogs and calling it barbecue to own the souths. On this day let us be thankful that our country can produce Denard Robinson.

Now go out there and refuse to call it a cookout!

Cook in, cook out, cook up, cook down, grill, smoke, barbecue. Do them all at the same time, or do them all separately. Just remember to be thankful that we all live in the greatest nation in the world, the good ol' USA! GO BLUE!

Happy 7/4 for sure!

Thank you for bringing Denard highlights to us -- Rich Rodriguez will be most remembered for a dismal Michigan record and forgotten for the fact that he brought us one of the highlight Michigan players of all time.  That underthelights game against Notre Dame has to be one of the greatest Michigan games, and perhaps the greatest comeback, of all times thanks to the one Denard.  Talk about explosions!

Happy BBQ to all!  (Keep bringing the south to Michigan.  We can always use another Denard!)

Remember, there is no laughing in Football unless you're watching Denard clear the 2nd level with green in front of him. Hope everyone has a great 4th.

Ahh, Denard! Good times! I was at the Big House for that first run against Western; dropping the ball, running to the sideline for what appeared to be for no gain, and then wow. Good times, indeed; Denard provided us with so many special moments in a time period that was mostly down for Michigan football. Those wins against Notre Dame were amazing! How many daggers did Shoelace stabbed at them; is there another player the Irish were more happy to see move on then him? Coach Rod certainly had his struggles while at Ann Arbor, but recruiting Denard is certainly a pleasant memory; Shoelace is one of the best players I have ever seen pass through the Big House.

So many of those open passes were due to the defense having to play his running game.  He was a true bright spot during the down years.  I really wonder what Harbaugh could have accomplished with him.  His throwing was as accurate as anything Speight could do if not more so. He passed for over 6000 yards and 49 touchdowns in his career. Had almost 4500 yards and 42 TDs on the ground.

Three things.

1. I forgot how much fun Denard was to watch as a student despite those years not being the best for us.

2. RichRod’s offense had some good plays/creativity that I forgot about in the misery of the lack of defense.

3. Happy Independence Day everyone!

4200 yards and 32 TDs in 2010.  Screw Cam Newton and Andrew Luck.  Denard was a boss.  And yet, I can't help but sit here and think of Ryan Mallet slinging the rock and Nard Dog toting it around...
