Today's recruiting roundup is a bit short and punchy since the MGoCar departs for Penn State early this afternoon. Also, there's just not a lot to talk about right now.

Noah Furbush Is Rather Tough

Noah Furbush has racked up some pretty impressive tackling numbers this season, and he's done so while playing through a broken wrist. How did that happen? Well... he's not entirely sure, per Scout's Kyle Bogenschutz ($):

In true tough guy fashion, Furbush doesn’t even remember how he broke the bone.

“It happened a few months ago, I think during basketball maybe,” Furbush said. “I’m not even 100-percent sure when but we got it diagnosed after the second scrimmage and I’ve been easing up on it since.”

Talk About The Hand

Jabrill Peppers discusses his thoughts on Da'Shawn Hand in his latest blog for USA Today:

OK I know you guys want to know about me trying to bring my boy D Hand (DaShawn Hand) over to Michigan with me, and I'm still feeling really good about doing that.

His announcement date is Nov. 14 and it's getting closer and closer. I feel like we've got the upper hand because he visited us during the Notre Dame game and that was the perfect game for him to be at. The atmosphere was crazy and we got the win.

I hit him up every once in a while to see how he's doing so I know he's doing his thing in his last year like me. I'm feeling like we'll probably be doing our thing on the field together next year too.

But, at the end of the day, that's my dude; wherever he goes he's got a fan in me.

Over at Rivals, Mike Farrell broke the five-stars into high-, medium-, and low-risk categories based on their skill set and how likely they are to hit their potential at the next level. The first two players in the coveted low-risk category are, you guessed it, Jabrill Peppers and Da'Shawn Hand ($):

DE Da'Shawn Hand: Hand is an elite pass rusher with great balance and agility and an amazing work ethic. While he's also a guy who could stand up or play down like Carter, he's not a high-risk guy because he can do it all and could even hold his own inside if needed.

DB Jabrill Peppers: Peppers could play cornerback or safety in college, and he will be successful at either. Heck, he could even play running back, although that would make his risk factor much higher. It's hard to see him failing on defense.

We'll take both, please.

Steven Parker: Still An Option?

When Michigan parted ways with four-star PA S Montae Nicholson, it looked like the Wolverines were done recruiting defensive backs for 2014. They've continued to pursue the Glenville duo of ATH Marshon Lattimore and S Erick Smith, however, and now four-star OK S Steven Parker tells Rivals that he's planning to visit Ann Arbor for an official ($):

Though it was one of many visits Parker has made to Oklahoma since the summer he isn't quite sure that the Sooners will receive one of his five official visits. Though he has two Big 10 powerhouses he plans to use, he isn't sure of any of his other three trips.

"I just know the two I'm going to visit for sure are Ohio State and Michigan and I'll try to get to some other officials," he said.

Oklahoma appears to be the team to beat, and it'll be interesting to see when Michigan tries to get Parker on campus—scholarships are still limited and they're almost certainly holding spots open for Hand (who decides Nov. 14th) and Malik McDowell.

Everything Else Because I Seriously Need To Pack

Per Scout's Bill Greene, two 2015 Glenville prospects have high interest in Michigan. 2015 receiver Trevon Story is a 5'9" speedster with a very interesting top three ($):

"My favorite schools would be Oregon, LSU and Michigan," Story continued. "I've always liked Michigan and would love to hear from them. I think my speed could help them, and I can always run under a 4.5 forty. I would be open to any school really, and I just want to play college football some day."

Linebacker Matt Draper visited for the Notre Dame game and came away hankering for an offer ($):

"I did visit Michigan and it was very electrifying, with all the people and it being such a big game," Draper stated. "I was able to talk with Coach (Roy) Manning after the game, and he told me he's very interested. I think a lot of Michigan and would love to have that offer."

Based on size and who's talked to a coach, I'd guess Draper has a better chance at an offer out of the two; remember that spots are even more limited in 2015 (at least for now) than they are for the 2014 class.

• George Campbell fell nine spots but kept five-star status at #26 overall
• Damien Harris jumped 25 spots to #66 overall
• Shaun Crawford moved up 26 spots to #130 overall

Maize n Brew's Anthony Mammel on 2017(!) LB Joshua Ross—younger brother of James Ross—and early offers; the younger Ross recently pulled in offers from Oklahoma and MSU.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Evander Holyfield's son, 2016 RB Elijah Holyfield, has Georgia and Michigan among his early leaders. Looking at the video, he also has two perfectly intact ears, which is nice.
