Burke Muppets Comment Count

Brian

Kind of good, that guy. Michigan just lost to Penn State and then beat Michigan State despite not hitting a three. All things are strange.

Muppets? Damn right muppets.

and you can't have one without the other...

Trey Burke kind of good you all.

Burke was tremendous. That said, we had a ten point lead with four minutes to play. This victory was a miracle and I feel pretty damn good. I feel like slapping the floor. But it shouldn't have come to being a miracle. Hopefully we learn from this and Indiana stumbles

Dude,. it would have been the ultimate gift if MSU had won.  We made zero threes, Stauskas got hurt, and got called for all kinds of phantom bullcrap down the stretch (lane violation, over-the-back, that blocking call).  They caught one break after another all day.  Nix's missed FT was poetic justice.

We didn't close out the game that well, but we earned it.  MSU couldn't beat our halfcourt defense.

Watching Trey shake commissioner Stern's hand (or whoever the new commish will be) will be a sad sight. Only seeing him hold up a Pistons #3 jersey will slightly ease the pain.

I think Derrick Nix might want to formally rescind his comments about Keith Appling doing everything Trey Burke can do. Lololololololol

for Sparty.  It's a nice win, but just like we will never rush the floor when we beat Penn State, we should never do Muppets when we beat Sparty.  They're not worth it!!!!!  Just sayin'.

I have unilaterally implementing a new rule. Well, I guess the rule isn't NEW so much as it just hasn't been enforced. Either way, it's a thing now, and it's called the Snowflake Rule. The Snowflake Rule is simple: threads that just repeat the same stuff everyone else is thinking are not thread-worthy. Here are some ways to know if you are in violation of the Snowflake Rule: Your thread title begins with the words "My thoughts on," "My opinion regarding," or "What I think about" You cover a topic tat has been covered multiple times on the board or on the front page The evidence supporting your post's hypothesis is entirely (a) opinion and/or (b) empty, high-level, tautological statements like "Denard is fast" Your conclusion is something either obvious or completely opinion-based, like "we will be better if the blockers block people" or "Kalis should play because I think he'd be better." Or, as a totally hypothetical example, "Denard should run because Denard is fast at running." Bottom line: posting a unique take on things is perfectly acceptable. If you want to post about a proposed defensive alignment or scheme that will allow the line to get better penetration? Knock yourself out. Want to demonstrate why Denard should run more by providing an analysis of past running QBs or of Michigan's success based on various run/pass ratios? We'd like to read it. But posting your take on a common question will get your thread pulled like something from a Weezer song.

I'm about 99.9% sure the Muppets thing comes from the MMB playing Temptation and the Hawaiian War Chant which are featured in the Muppet videos above.

The rest of the story . . . a Michigan grad worked on the Muppet show back in the day and managed to get both Temptation and the Hawiian War Chant as skits on the show.

Brian or someone else eventually found these old Muppet clips on the internet, because everything hiding can eventually be found on the internet, and the rest is MGoBlog history.

Anyone else see the overly-exuberant, neck-muscles-bulging, screaming in happiness clarinet member of the MMB after the game? Totally gif. worthy!

HAIL TO THE VICTORS!

I also can't wait until late this evening when I pour a nice celebratory drink, sit back on the couch, and wade through what I am sure is becoming an epic RCMB meltdown.
