They're pretty unspecific as to what the "sanction" could be.

In other news, a local radio reporter

http://twitter.com/#!/LoriSchmidt

has stated that the radio station has verified that Tressel knew of the scheme months before OSU claimed.

[edit] one last note - that reporter above tweeted that the source for all of this info is cam newton's brother, but took the tweet down like 20 seconds later.

i hate osu, jim tressel could commit murder and would get a slap on the wrist. i sincerely hope this article is wrong, there needs to be more of a punishment then to have him sit out a few games and pay a fine. osu is and always will be a school for SCUM BAGS!!!!!

What is going to happen tonight to the Senator.

"He do that, he go to the box, you know. Two minutes, by himself, you know and he feel shame, you know. And then he get free."

It fits for this thread also

If the school doesn't put this on Tressel, they will get leveled by the NCAA fir lieing during the investigation. Unless of course they told the NCAA about this in Dec, and then they did nothing due to the Sugar Bowl and then just lies to the public about it. Im starting to think this is the likely senario.

Or does every other rival care more about how they do against us than we care about how we do against them.  MSU is egregiously guilty of that, and OSU is right behind them.  The entire measure of their esteem is determined by they football/basketball success against us, rather than everything else a university should be measured by - namely academics.

That being said - DIAF Tressel.

I wouldn't expect the Columbus Dispatch to say anything else.

Maybe with a little luck, Tressel will be punished by having to sit out one offensive drive against Akron in September.

I heard he can stay coach, but is no longer being considered for Two and a Half Men. Too controversial.

(I know. A week two Sheen joke. Easy on the negs please)

If the NCAA was really going to do anything about this they would have never let those players play in the bowl game. Nothing will come of this other than filling a little bit of air time for ESPN. The best case scenario is the NCAA does further investigate this and we get to go up against them on the recruiting trail with a black cloud lingering over their head. It's about time that another program has to deal with this shit.

Think of it this way..

Theschool in Ohio hasn't lost to an in-state team in 90 years. This is a perfect opportunity for one of those schools to ever have a shot. Without there top 5 players, and without there advisor. We lost our first game vs a MAC team when being targeted by the NCAA, Toledo. Can the rockets do it again? Remember when tuos fans laughed at us for losing to Toledo,  and calling him Fraudriguez? Karma is a bitch.
