can missouri st. get an at large?

Submitted by ish on

they lost in the mvc championship, but their rpi is 42.  their loss may have just closed out an at-large space.

They could but it isn't likely.

SOS around 130, No top 50 wins, only 3 top 100 wins, none of them against a tournament team. The MVC is also only 12th in conference RPI.

Won't for certain say no, but I'd say its far more likely they're NIT-bound.

Pretty unlikely.  As wlubd pointed out, they have weak numbers outside of RPI and the MVC isn't particularly strong.  They might get an at-large depending on how other bubble teams play out, but UM isn't in danger of losing a spot to them IME.

He also had us as a 12 seed before the Saturday games.

I think beating MSU and whatever we do w/ Illinois is better than beating Creighton and losing to Indiana St.

So I'd tend to say that even if they make the dance (unlikely), I'd agree w/ bronxblue in that they'll make it behind us.

Joe Lunardi just said on TV that he thinks they will be on the outside looking in dependin on other Bubble results. CAA benefited from Bracketbusters while the MVC lost a lot. Don't need to worry about Missouri St. in all likelihood.

There gonna be an NIT Team

1st MVC team that was a 1 seed in the conf tourney to not make the dance since 93

they diodnt do anything outside the conference, and the MVC was very weak this year compared to past years !

I go to Indiana State, so I'm pretty excited about Mo St getting beat! Was a great sport weekend for me Michigan and ISU!
