OT - CCHA Playoff Scores

Current CCHA Playoff Scores....

OSU 2

LSSU 3   3rd Period 5:36 left

BGSU 1

NMU   0 3rd Period 15:51 left

MSU

Alaska    Face off at 7:05 AT

If this holds up, LSSU moves on and BG would force a game 3 on Sunday. An Alaska win would end MSU's season and see LSSU vs. Michigan next weekend.

I'm rooting for BG all the way!

If they somehow move on, it should be a cake-walk (no jinx) into the semis at the Joe.

In terms of the BTN getting a deal with the CCHA, we won't have to worry about it in a few years when the BT hockey conference arrives!

We want NMU to be above .5000 in the RPI. Because of the loss, they aren't. And even if they win tomorrow night, they'll still need to take one against Miami to get above the TUC cliff.

Also, MSU leads Alaska 2-1 early in the second as of midnight. MSU could theoretically get above .5000 if they lose the series 2-1, so we really want Alaska to win.

I haven't found video, but USCHO.com does have like scores.... so I can tell you at the end of the 1st, Sparty is up 2-1 on Alaska.

have thunk'd it, LSSU sweeps OSU and Bowling Green gets a win at NMU.

There's been too many different opinions about the MSU/Alaska match-up for anything to really be a surprise, but currently, Alaska leads the series 1-0 and game 2 is tied 2-2 with 6:28 left in the second.

I think you want Alaska to win that series. State split with UM in their 4 games this year. Though, in the 2 games in A2 (@ Michigan Stadium and @ Yost) UM out scored Sparty 4.5 to 0. It was the game at Munn and the Joe where UM didn't win. Though, if BG finds a way to win tomorrow, then it doesn't matter what State does tonight, though I'd like to see Sparty done.

it looks like its 3-3 at the end of the 2nd now.

poll question: would you prefer comley's career end in the tundra of alaska in front of 0 state fans or at yost in front of 6,800 of us?

Alaska defeated MSU in double overtime to win the series 2-0. This means we will be playing either Lake Superior State or Bowling Green next weekend. BG and Northern Michigan play game 3 tomorrow night.
