Watching Michigan-MSU Game out of market
I'm heading to New Orleans this week, and know they won't be showing the State game on local CBS. Is there anyway to get the game on tv or through a reliable stream (i.e. not ADHTE)? Do they broadcast the CBS games on alternate subchannels or something?
Last Saturday I was able to watch the BYU vs. SDSU game on CBS.com. I'm pretty sure I wasn't in market for that game either. So I think that might be a good place to check.
I just went to cbssports.com and, under the "Video" category on the top menu bar, they have a link for "College Basketball Live". I clicked on it, and the first thing in the playlist is a video titled "Michigan St. at Michigan" with the caption "Showing 2:00 pm ET on Saturday, March 5". So maybe that'll work. None of those videos are working for me currently though, but I'm behind a proxy at work. Something worth checking on Saturday, although having backup plans is probably a good idea in case they have some sort of black out based on geography. But I know I had BYU vs. SDSU on my CBS local station last Saturday, so hopefully that won't be an issue.
You can watch the game via stream this weekend.

like ABC does in Football?
Not officially, but they are usually posted at the506.com. I just checked the tv guide, and found out they will be showing Oregon vs. Arizona in New Orleans. To top that, my slingbox is located in phoenix.
Just checked my comcast cable guide in Boston and it says Oregon at Arizona.
I'm sure there will be streams available, but ugh, would really love to watch this game on an actual TV.
Any explanation for CBS showing a 14-14 team from the west coast?
I'll be watching Michigan beat MSU in Glendale, Arizona. Then head straight to jobbing.com to watch the Red Wings whoop the Coyotes :)
They better have the game on.
Comcast in Montgomery County, Maryland, is listing the slot as TBD. Besides UM-MSU and the Oregon game, what are the other candidates? Anything in ACC country?
The website for Channel 9 (WUSA) shows the Michigan game in the 2 pm slot on Saturday, so that is what Comcast will have.
Woo Hoo!!
Oregon v Arizona on CBS....UGH
CBS3 is showing UM/MSU! As much as I hate Penn State, I have to thank them for this one. They make Philly "Big Ten" turf according to the TV people, so I get to see a lot more games than either NYC or DC.
Fuck me. There aren't 3 people in the NY area that will care about the Arizona vs. Oregon game. Why would that be the regional choice?
I live in Boston and most B-ball games are still watched at The Place 2 Broad St.
I will be in NYC this saturday and watching at The Hill (I think 3rd ave between 29th and 30th)
I googled "New Orleans gambling casinos" and found seven. Maybe one of them has a gigantic sports room ala many Vegas casinos.
I did check that. None of them have sports books, so none of them carry games on tv a la vegas.
Cbssports.com seems to be the solution.
has regional coverage for pre-tournament games. I would expect more of a double header type scenario this Saturday then regional coverage of two games. At first I was happy this was a CBS game, now I am wishing ESPN had it.
About three pitchers down on Sunday CBS flipped over from Pitt/Louisville in overtime to show the tipoff of IU/OSU. I'm not a big fan of CBS this week.
CBS is showing the game in Orlando.

Is there anyway to catch this on the iPhone (on Android for that matter)? I know they have CBS apps for the tournament but does that work for this? I'm really quite annoyed that the Big Ten is allowing a game to be regional and not offering a mirror on a national station. I mean, how is it that we can watch Michigan vs Concordia nationally but Michigan vs. Freakin' Michigan State is only regional. BLAH!
I'm going to be away from a TV (not that it would matter apparently) and a computer so I was hoping to just DVR it and avoid checking anything on my phone - lovely. I haven't had to do the ESPN Scorecenter thing in a long, long time.
I have the same problem. I live in Houston, which is slated to show Oregon/AZ on CBS. I have DirecTV and checked the exhaustive channel listing - UM/MSU is going to be shown on channel 728. All you need is a sports pack/ premier package, and they play out-of-market regional games.
I currently don't have the sports pack (because it doesn't show out-of-market pro games), but I can get it for $11.99 (min 30 day subscription) and get the game in HD. Kinda sucks, but def worth it.
Or you can just go to any bar that has DirecTV - I assume they carry all pro subscription packages and sports packs - and ask for channel 728. GO BLUE!
