MGoBlue Hockey video is up

Submitted by Michichick on

I can never get video to embed properly, so just go to MGoBlue.com and follow the links on the front page. Red's post-game press conference, player interviews and the team celebration. Great stuff.

Two important notes:  Shawn Hunwick had a shut-out going in the third period and went to Red during a media time-out and asked him to put in Hogan, Hogan finished the game and shared the shut-out win.

Louie Caporusso DNP due to knee on knee injury during Friday night's game and may be out til NCAA tournament, or longer.

Thats awesome, thats why I love our squad. We have guys that easily could have left in Hagelin and Cap, but they stay four years (another tendency i love about our hockey team) and the character is amazingly evident. love hearing/seeing that kind of stuff.

I know what your trying to say, but I disagree that Hagelin and Louie could have left last year. Both are still really not NHL players yet. I would place a wager that both are stuck in the AHL for at least 2 years prior to getting their shot. Louie has not developed enough individually since Palushaj left and Hagelin still needs to get bigger and stronger to be a force in the NHL.

Also, Michigan typically has a guy every year leave early for the NHL (i.e. Pacioretty, Johnson, Palushaj, Tambellini, Cogliano, etc etc etc).

I'm pumped they won, but this team this year won in a more "blue collar" way than previous championship teams. Merrill is really the only bonafide stud we have on this team that has great promise for the NHL (no offense to Brown, Hagelin or the others).

I'm not a huge fan of the way they sing, "The Victors".  But as long as they keep doing it (they only sing it when they sweep) relatively often, I'm not going to complain too much.

I agree seeing Red sing it was a blast.  He had trouble keeping up with the fist pumps at the beginning and then he gave up clapping so he could make the fist pumps, which was kind of funny.  And, best of all, he had a HUGE smile on the whole time.  He smiled during his post-game interview, too.  I don't think I've ever seen Red smile that much.  Even last year when they won the tourney and Hunwick got MVP, Red just barely cracked a smile.  But goodness gracious, I love that man.  If I could, I would go back in time to when I was really young and learn how to play hockey really, really well, just so I could play for Red.

Ugh.

Lemme at that Northern player that hurt Louie.  I'm probably half his size, but fury has to count for something.  Then let me at Shegos.  I don't care if he's 10 times my size (and I've seen him enough to know he isn't), there's plenty of fury for him
