another spring game question

Submitted by deshawn swimms on
Did not really see this addressed before, but does anyone have an idea if the spring game will be an actual game or another scrimmage this year? Any idea what Hoke use to do at SDSU or Ball State? I know a lot of other teams have split themselves up into two completely different teams for the spring game and I think it would be pretty sweet to see a Denard team vs a Devin team.

Hoke ran an actual game at SDSU last year. That being said we only have 63 scholarship players available this year. I think we may be too thin at some positions, especially D-line to run an actual game this year.

I would also love to see a real game.  I mean we may be a bit thin, but I feel it is much more competitive and more enjoyable for the fans and the team.  If the NCAA would change the spring rules I think it would be a drastic improvement for college football.  Not only do I think it would create more interest for the sport, especially during its down season, but would assist in the rankings.  I realize the lack of practice time, freshman, and weak potential opponents, but I mean the preseason rankings have been rather bad as of late and I feel it couldn't hurt things

I will be surprised if Dantonio and the spartans can beat Michigan 3 times in the next 10 years, this will not end well for Dantonio, when's the last time they at least won 8 games back to back seasons
