He just compared Jamie Morris's actions that got him fired to Brad Labadie, Scott Draper and practicegate. That doesn't make any sense.

Pete Carroll's done pretty good despite getting the boot from the Jets. Belichick was going to be canned by the Browns, but stepped down instead. And Moeller sure didn't have success written on his forehead after he left Illinois.
Before dumping on former players who represented the school well with debatable "fact", let's remember who started this whole shitstorm.

The article that broke the Corwin Brown being fired article was titled something along the lines of "Corwin Brown just isn't a very good coach", which was a quote by one of the players on the Patriots.

I didn't quiet follow his Ty Wheatley argument. Was he saying Ty should have replaced Fred Jackson because he played for Michigan? That doesn't make much sense to me.

I felt he presented himself much better this time around. I don't necessarily agree with everything he said but I thought he made his points much better this go around. I at least understand where he's coming from a little better now.

Despite a few whince-inducing statements ("unAmerican"), he was reasonable. For those that didn't listen, he said he wished that more former Michigan players (and others) had been given the chance to interview for the various jobs. He was also particularly upset that Corwin Brown didn't even get called back...Overall, he seemed to be upset about the process of the coaching search(es), not the result(s).

there are not many things I take as fact. One of those things, however, is that I won't waste any more of my life listening to Taylor. I am almost beginning to feel bad for Brown.

Was when he took credit for the growth of Ann Arbor. WELL, he did share it with the other lettermen. At least the one's who came after '85. I wonder what football team in Canton made that city grow and expand over the last 25 years...

<br>The team is bigger than any coach or player he said....unless it's him, and he doesn't like something. Then his needs are bigger. I wonder if he realizes that the sense of entitlement and importance he's coming off as having for having played football (and let's be real, Tom Brady he wasn't) is what gives ex-jocks a bad name. What you did 20 years ago doesn't mean what you're saying makes more sense.

<br>I'm beginning to think ex-athletes are better off keeping their mouths shut, and letting us remember them for their exploits on the field, and not the stupid things they say. But for every Taylor, Braylon or Leach who speak without thinking, I think of Zoltan on the radio this morning, or Woodson around the Super Bowl, and so forth, who make Michigan Athletes look special, like they should.

according to sam webb, taylor was also upset when brown didn't get the dc job under lloyd. the only difference was that he couldn't scream racism because ron english got the job. it appears that brown simply isn't that good of a coach and wouldn't help our cause. i am old enough to remember when taylor played for M; he should be happy to call himself a former football player because he just wasn't very good.

He should have come and been a ball boy at Michigan after the NFL. Because he would have had a better chance at the job, considering I don't think Lloyd ever had a coordinator that didn't come from his existing staff.

You are correct. He made eight coordinator hires in his 13 years and every one of them was an in-house promotion.
That's the thing about Lloyd. He was loyal to the same system that gave him everything he had.

To say Michael Taylor wasn't good is not true. To not agree with his thoughts is one thing. To say he wasn't good is wrong. He was almost really good. Took M to Bo's last Rose Bowl without Boles and Hoard from previous team after D. Brown flunked out. Good M QB.

Hoard was with Taylor. Boles was gone. Previous team was explosive. Taylor had Bo a holding call away from Rose Bowl win.
