Naked Bootlegger

Agreed about the left issue.  If memory serves me correctly, though, Darius and Morgan and Stu finished off big plays w/ their left hands in the IU game.  Are we seeing some baby steps here?!   Like bluebloggin and countless other  Michigan hoops fans, I have been imploring via the very ineffective method of screaming at the television (don't these new LCDs/plasmas/LED's have two-way communication capabilities yet?!) for especially Morris and Morgan to finish with the left hands so many times this year.   Maybe, maybe, maybe they are figuring this out.  There were a few other times during this game where the left-hand option would have been preferable to finish off plays, so this will be a slow evolutionary process.  Morris is so skilled at getting into the lane, and can admittedly get away with his dominant right hand under most circumstances.  But if he can add a consistent left-hand finishing touch near the rim, his All Big 10 First Team selection status for his junior and senior years will be guaranteed!

I've been very impressed by the TJH resurgence.  His legs look fresher than earlier in the year...so much for freshman "wall" that many players hit at this point in the year.  I'm hoping his attack-the-basket attitude continues against some pretty tough competition over the next few weeks.

Yes we would like to him to go left more but please stop reacting to these announcers and their endless harping on the issue.  Seems as soon as one starts they all have to latch onto it like it's the only thought they have.  It is obvious Morris is working on it and has shown some significant improvement in that tendency, and will continue to get better - he is only a sophomore.

If he were not already so good going to the basket with his right hand they wouldn't even be talking about it.

Under the wise counsel of his basketball-smart family, they sent Junior packing for Ann Arbor, to be tutored by a coaching legend in John Beilein.

It's nice to see how "outsiders" see JB, even as some local "fans" still bust JB's chops in forums and comment fields. Sometimes, a little outside perspective is necessary.

Agree on JB.  It's been interesting to watch him add wrinkles to his already widely respected offense.  With that, the assistant coaching changes, the improvement in facilities and consequential help in recruiting, I think he's building a program that could be long remembered.

Nothing will make me happier to see them start consistently competing for Big Ten championships and decent tourney runs. And I don't think that's a long way off.

That the miami coaching staff wouldn't offer him because they didn't think he had the skill set to play in the ACC, and now here he is playing his best basketball of the season against the big ten.
