Reminds me of the NU game last year.  We were up 15, and then they hit 5 straight 3s, and generally just couldn't miss in the 2nd half.  It's a darned good thing we're scoring, because when a team is this hot from outside, completely putting them away is not really on the table.

I'm only able to follow this on Gamecast, so I have no idea about the details of the game, but I really think they should try to stop NW from scoring.  That would help.

Don't like how we finished by letting them back in the game, but we got the W so i'm happy. The boys are still alive, making a run at the tourney hopefully.

The increment between teams isn't as large as it used to be.  Consequently, the team that is trailing almost always makes a run.  It's almost become a cliche.  Sometimes you just have to give credit to the guys on the other side of the ball.

At any rate, it was a very good win; the W-L column doesn't have a column for "style points."

Lack of experience and mental toughness are more probably factors.  I'm not necessarily lookout for a huge blowout, but how about not being sloppy handling the ball and not going into a scoring drought?  And especially not turning the ball over in the backcourt and letting them get an easy hoop right after they just scored?

Sure, the other team makes a run.  But it sure would be nice to see the run stop before the lead gets under five.

awesome coach.  i can't think of another coach who alters the approach game-by-game as much as he does, depending on the opponent.

he adjusts the D based on the opponents strength.

and tonite, pounding it inside against a team lacking in skilled big men on D.

can't wait until next year.

The future is bright, I fully expect to compete in the upper tier of the B1G next year and definitely a tourney bid. Add to that some solid players coming in, I see good things on the horizon.

That NW comeback scared the crap out of me.  Somehow you just knew that was coming.

Beautiful offense tonight.  We had 21 made two-pointers to only six threes.  That's really what Beilein would like to see more often.
