Official Visitors
I know we have a big official visit weekend going on right now. I find it interesting, and perhaps surprising, that none of the premium sites or Michigan writers have been able to share any information about the festivities this weekend. This is of course in stark contrast to last weekend where we received multiple updates over the course of the 2-3 day trip.
Is there a chance that the coaching staff is trying to keep this weekend's visits under wrap? Or have there been reports that I have been missing?

Darian Cooper has been tweeting quite a bit, nothing groundbreaking.

I was wondering what the 3 strikes rules he mentioned was about?

I don't know exactly what it is, but Stonum tweeted about it Wednesday:

It's 4 days away from signing day. Most of the kids that are left are waiting to announce on signing day. Plus no one really knows what DT Darian Cooper or TE Chris Barnett are thinking yet.
Those two are the unknowns that are visiting. Antonio Poole and Keith Heitzman are already committed, and Thomas Rawls has been saying the same thing for awhile. Not much to report yet.

Yeah, Cooper and Barnett are the two that most are probably wondering about.
Plus, I read somewhere that Barnett might wait until after NSD to decide.

His recruitment has been somewhat odd, it wouldn't surprise me.

Also, Tom - random comment. I had the chance to watch Hobbi's announcement to USC. The kid seems like a great kid. I know you've probably watched him a bunch in Arizona and probably spoke to him on several occasions. But he seems to have a great attitude, very mature and grounded. I definitely see Hobbi playing on Sundays in 4-5 years. Too much talent and positive atittude not to succeed.

It was Tom Beaver.

Looking at the points, I think those of us who compulsively upvote Tom and those who are thinking WTF in reference to the neg votes have more than made up for whoever did it.

For keeping everyone continuously up to date - it took a full, complete 6 minutes for Tom to answer the original post lol. Amazing.

Barnett's host may help out a lot more then someone like Koger would have. Just to get the pro's and con's from playing on a school in the south to coming up here.
IIRC - Barnett was drawing raving reviews before he got injured.
Barnett, Cooper and Rawls would all be really nice gets.

That person should be docked 100,000,000,000,000,000 points. Sorry Tom VH!

But what in his post (in this thread) is so inflammatory?

- Correct spelling/grammar
- Useful information
- Killer smile

I drove by the stadium last night and the new lights were on--maybe they were showing the guys the Big House?

i think its fine he went somewhere else. in the big scheme of things a FB is not this years big priority. if we wouldve gotten him, cool, but the loss isnt that big of a deal in my eyes.
