Michigan still in it for Cooper?

Submitted by bluesouth on

Summary from Spartan Rivals.  The CC kinda turned him off.  He has met with Hoke and communicated with Mattison and is expecting a visit sometime in the early part of the week.  He's seems still wide open and will listen to what they have to say.

The rest is MSU related how enjoyed his OV to Iowa, and the last DT roster spot in Sparty land

There are three important days in a man's life. 1. His first visit under a girls bra 2. His first paycheck 3. When he gains the ability to neg and posbang on mgoblog. What an honor.

that are better than first bra.  First kiss is better than first bra.  First BJ is better than first boob.  First lay is better than first boob. I'm sure that having kids is cool too.

I was going to mention this tomorrow, but I spoke with him about it tonight.

Cooper went from saying he's definitely not coming to Michigan, to thinking about visiting. His talk with Mattison has gotten into his head. I have a feeling they might convince him to at least visit. Don't hold me to that, it's not based off of anything. I just think it might happen.

At the very least, the fact that Mattison "got in the head" of a recruit that had previously eliminated us completely proves that he is indeed the recruiter he's been described as. This bodes well for the future wether we get Cooper or not.

I am gaining confidence each and every day.  Whether its him or someone else, I truly feel like we are moving forward with this thing.  Maybe Hoke should help out with the BB recruiting.  There are plenty of two sport stars out there, go get us one!

Our DC will hopefully make a huge difference.  I think last year's defense lacked confidence because the scheme sapped any aggression the players might have had.  We have the ideal team to blitz a lot and instead we chose to die in a mostly 3 man rush system.  When you have a team that struggles making read decisions, blitzing gives them one assignment and takes all the guess work out of it.  Playing cover one and blitzing a lot is what I hope to see next year, barring development and the high potential of our new guru defensive coordinator.

I really like Cooper.  Have for a while, would make this class very respectable.  Cant imagine what we will do with a full year of recuriting.  This kid can play and I expect him, if he came to Michigan to make an impact sometime.

I have been so impressed with Hoke and company's ability to get some top notch recruits in for visits this close to signing day. He is putting together a hell of a class with all the odds against him.

Can't wait for future years and future classes with the Hokester!
