How addicted are you?

Submitted by mgowake on
Today I have a meeting that decides if the product I'm proposing lives or dies. I should be prepping. However, I'm sitting here refreshing MGoBlog and fixated on "Miles to Michigan?" on ESPN.

What's the first step? Admitting you have a problem? Can someone publish a how to not be so crazily addicted to Michigan football in twelve easy steps?

I will tell you that when people take drugs, they do not understand what they are thinking and how many examples stand before their eyes in the form of broken families and overdose deaths. If someone has such a problem, then especially for them there is one of the best rehabilitation centers in southern California here at this link https://www.theedgetreatment.com/a-brighter-horizon-for-opioid-recovery/.

There is no rehab or twelve-step program in the world that can cure sports and/or mgoblog addiction.  You might as well just decide to live with it.

I've been on here in the past week more than I have ever before combined. I'm also a frequent visitor to TigerDroppings to see what the word at LSU is. Don't know where else I can go to get information, but this is bad.

I just sat here and watched the Patrick Peterson / LSU news conference to see if there was anything noteworthy.  I also participated in the livechat so that I could gauge LSU fans' reactions.

I have a meeting in an hour where I have to present ideas for improving our social media marketing plan.

Announced he's headed to the NFL.

Media was respectful of keeping it focused on Peterson until a reporter asked him where he thought Miles was going to be coaching next year.  He said he's not in a position to answer but hopes it's at LSU.  It was the last question before they cut off the Q & A.

My kids have taken a back seat to this. I don't even hear their requests anymore. And I'm not going to even talk about work. What's work? Plus, my husband - who is a football fan - thinks I'm crazy. My brother understands, though, because he went to Michigan, too, so he calls me regularly to see if I've heard anything. At least I have him for support.

My wife just looks at me with disgust and says "oh you're on that Blog thing again".

I think she was happier when I wasted my time on internet porn instead of looking for updates on a coach selection.  At least that I could shut off.....

The past few months on here have been like a really bad boozey bender.  The kind where I'm crashing cars, throwing bricks through pre-schools, praying to the false porcelain god, waking up in a hospital bed with restraints on and hitting on women who are either A) old enough to be my mother, or B) as attractive as left over haggus.  But I can't stop now.  No way.  No how.

I can't stop because when life is sweet on this board, man, life is sweet.  3 days of good news is worth sifting through all the filth.  So until you see me on A&E pouring my heart out on a TV show, MGoBlog is my crutch.  That's just the way it is.
