Only Lloyd Brady pics have been so popular - but this still isn't working. Any working links? Gotta see this.

Scares me how little the LSU fans seem to care about losing Miles. Still better than Hoke, but man...
January 7th, 2011 at 8:52 PM ^
Anybody else get the feeling that everything would have worked out a whole lot better for both schools if Miles had come to UM and RR had gone to LSU a few years back?
January 7th, 2011 at 10:23 PM ^
except RR was offered the Bama job, not the LSU job back then
January 7th, 2011 at 11:03 PM ^
I think the above post is discussing a hypothetical in which Miles goes to Michigan and leaves LSU with a vacancy, to be filled with RR.

Now they are a fanbase with entitlement issues. Before Saban, they hadn't won anything in a few decades, but none of them seem to remember that. Their last two coaches have won a national title, which seems to have convinced them that anyone can do that. Miles is 61-16 at LSU. By any standard, he's had an outstanding run.
January 7th, 2011 at 9:58 PM ^
You are exactly right. I've lived here since 94 and before 2003 I never once saw anything LSU.
Now EVERYONE in the whole state claims to have been a fan their whole life. Cracks me up.

O-H-I-O
January 7th, 2011 at 11:28 PM ^
Don't forget, pro sports in Ohio suck, have sucked for decades, and will continue to suck for ever and ever Amen. The Crew doesn't count because the MLS is a clown league.
Ohio State is their little mini-SEC team, complete with shady recruiting and improper benefits. Let them have that small moment of athletic relevance.

I grew up in the flat (lafayette, la) and still live here. I grew up when everyone and their cousins were giving LSU tickets away. No one ever wanted to make a 50 mile trek to see a shitty team. Now since they got a split NC in 03, second BCS title with 2 losses in 07. Now LSU fans act like they are a dynasty.Everyday at work since this Coaching Circus has begun, everyone is giggling and laughing at me because we are going to land Les Miles. Everyone hates this dude. Miles will be the first one out if he gets a decent job offer. And don't even get me started on the text messages I've received about UM and Miles during the Cotton Bowl game.

This is hilarious. Best laugh I've had all day.

January 7th, 2011 at 8:37 PM ^
That was great.
Oh, and did everyone see the breaking news from Wikipedia?
January 7th, 2011 at 8:43 PM ^
Someone corrected it. LOL

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Les_Miles&oldid=406598712
Is this the version you were talking about?
January 7th, 2011 at 8:57 PM ^
I was just impressed that Wiki can break news (or whatever it is surrounding this coaching search) before ESPN has had a chance to garner information from Twitter.....

They didn't fully undo all the edits on his page. It still says that he attended "Slapdick High School in Elyria, Ohio".
At least I hope the school in Elyria isn't named "Slapdick High"............
January 7th, 2011 at 9:03 PM ^
I noticed that - I imagine it was the Slapdick family that first settled the land near the current town. What is not as well known is that, later on, they changed the family name to Tressel.

Maybe they are new members, or maybe just members with Rodriguez-themed usernames who were forced to change. I would hate to be InRichRodWeTrust or someone like that who has to start over from 0 MGoPoints.
January 7th, 2011 at 11:06 PM ^
but believe me, it should be.
January 7th, 2011 at 9:03 PM ^
He is scheduled to be announced as the University of Michigan's head football coach at the conclusion of the 2011 Cotton Bowl.
I wonder who wrote that and what sources, if any, they have?
January 7th, 2011 at 9:58 PM ^
The Fox staff is dying to discuss the Les Miles possibility.....they make passing references to it every few minutes.

epic.
January 7th, 2011 at 8:41 PM ^
So much win.
Imaginary +1 to LSUFreek
January 7th, 2011 at 8:46 PM ^
I don't understand how so many people don't want Les Miles. His offense seems to be the perfect transition for the talent we have and all they keep discussing is his love of defense and special teams??!
Denard in the option would be nastttyy..
January 7th, 2011 at 9:02 PM ^
there's this thing he does where he cuts kids and drops their scholarships right before the start of the season, then lies about it later. Ask Nick Saban for the details.
January 7th, 2011 at 9:05 PM ^
Impossible for him to do that in the B1G. Unlike the SEC, the B1G has strict rules on how many guys you can recruit per class.
January 7th, 2011 at 9:16 PM ^
THe oversigning thing wouldn't be an issue would it. He makes me nervous since we're already on probation but I'd still take my chances right now.
Can't believe LSU Freek has the cahones to put the old banged Moeller's wife rumor out there.
January 7th, 2011 at 9:27 PM ^
The new "Brandon hit that, too" rumor.
January 7th, 2011 at 9:07 PM ^
I totally agree with you.
January 7th, 2011 at 8:52 PM ^
This is the shot of our jet in Baton Rouge. SIAP, but it bears looking at again. I believe we have the coolest jet ever.
OUR JETS GOT WINGS.

RR should have let Pryor "borrow" it when he was recruiting him.
January 7th, 2011 at 10:58 PM ^
That thing just screams, "We rock, you suck!"
January 7th, 2011 at 8:54 PM ^
coaches in other college Divisions, and I ran across this guys name. I don't know who he is, but you have to give the name some props..
January 7th, 2011 at 8:57 PM ^
January 8th, 2011 at 10:36 AM ^
hey, might as well have a guy who knows how to win in the big house
January 7th, 2011 at 8:57 PM ^
do I want LSU to win or lose?
if he loses, less attractive to DB who seems to think the bowl game is real important but lsu fans probably thinking good riddance
if he wins, lsu more likely to try and keep him
January 7th, 2011 at 9:01 PM ^
I've got to believe if hes going to come the result of this game is irrelevant. But I would love to se him win while running offense and defensive schemes I could see our team running...
January 7th, 2011 at 9:00 PM ^
Do we just forget about the whole Gary Moeller love triangle and Lloyd Carr is sick business?
January 7th, 2011 at 9:05 PM ^
Does it get us a win against OSU?
January 7th, 2011 at 9:13 PM ^
Maybe if their jet crashes, but then again they probably will all be driving a booster's car since theirs is in the shop
January 7th, 2011 at 9:09 PM ^
Anything that happened 15 years ago should not be held against the guy. (And as exciting as the rumor is to talk about, it's probably not true.) The Carr health thing is iffier.
