No anti-CC-thread talk today please

Submitted by artds on

If other posters and I want to discuss a CC topic, we will.

If you don't want to join the discussion, then you're not invited to take part in the conversation anyway, so please stay out of the thread.

Thanks.

That's a ridiculous request! Why would you think it's acceptable to discuss a potential coaching change for the Michigan Wolverines football team after their bowl game? Do you think thats what message boards are for?

There should be no posts on this Michigan Blog regarding the overwhelming possibility of a coaching change. We will ignore it.

1.  None of you Nancy's have a unique thought about the situation... Whatever you are thinking about posting, we have seen it.

2.  We will likely know if there will be a change in just a couple of days.  Then you can discuss it to your hearts content.  But at this point, it's speculation, and it's played out.

So what? It's a freaking message board what do you think is going to be posted? If you don't want to talk about it then don't comment, but so long as people are debating it (which is fine) the talk will continue on the boards.

So there is no point in cluttering the board with something that has been debated to death.

So there is no point in starting CC threads when it is known that there are pretty strong feelings on both sides.

So there is no point in talking about a new coach when RR is still the head coach.

So there is no poiint in speculating about something when a decision will be made in less than 1 fucking week.

If you are too weak willed to handle something so simple, go back to MLive or, better yet, go check to see if anyone commented on your "Fire RR - LOL" Facebook group.

What the hell else are you going to "clutter the board" with? "OT- What kind of beer are you drinking tonight? LOL"

And how is there no point in speculating when the decision is in a week... Do you get upset when people speculate about the presidential election one week before the actual election? My God is that an awful argument. When the decision is near is when you're supposed to speculate the most.

Bottom line, you're a joke dude. Quit trying to regulate mgoblog as if it belongs to you or something

Good one.

I'll expect you to be calling into MSNBC and Fox News the week before the upcoming presidential election and going off on them for speculating and discussing a week before the decision is made.

Don't lose any sleep when Rodriguez gets fired next week.

by ignoring your first attempt at comparing the Michigan coaching situation and how it has been exhuastively discussed on this blog to the MSM and the presidential election.

It is a ridiculous comparison and I'm embarassed for you that you feel that it is your strongest argument against my point.

Bring something fresh to the board.  If you can't, either visit one of the other 500 CC threads or stfu.

He's not the head coach anymore.  Whether the announcement comes today, tomorrow, or three days from now, it's just a formality at this point.  Rich Rodriguez is going to be fired.  You and some others need to come to grips with this.

info he needs to evaluate the program, he has it now.  The first half has been a microcosm of the whole season.  Look good early, kinda hold on in the middle and then getting dominated in the end.  The defense has not learned one thing during the bowl practices.  They are still way out of position and still miss too many tackles.

I'm not trying to be a dick here, but with the equivalent of a spring practice season and basically nothing has improved on defense and the ofense looks about the same as well.  I feel bad for RR, but he's a big boy and he understands the number one job of a football coach is to win and he's not doing it.  He can't defend any statements about progress with the performance we're seeing today.

The defensive futility isn't really surprising at this point.  What bothers me is that this purportedly great offense (judged by FEI, yardage stats, etc.) is utterly incompetent.  They aren't young anymore either.  You're basically looking at guys on the cusp of being juniors, seniors, and 5th year seniors who can't be productive on a consistent basis.  If Rodriguez can't excel at his core competency -- the spread offense --  what can he do well?

Maybe he was smarter than all of us clamoring for a decision. How would the affirmative to keep RR look right about now? Obviously, Gerg would be gone and is gone and should have been canned at mid season.

It would be hard to fault him for letting RR go at this point based on 'progress'.

The offense is not dangerous; too many pockets of inconsistency with either taco pant throws, little people fumbling or getting hurt, receivers dropping balls and freshman.

When the offense has been needed against good teams, it vaporizes with small people getting blown up.

Defense? Ugh.

I'm tired of hearing about talent. That is a poor excuse when you don't teach your kids to be disciplined, where to line up, etc...

I am absolutely embarrassed. I've been a DC for 14 years and a coach for 17. How this GR has a job is beyond me. I would have chucked his ass at halftime of the Illinois game. If you are yelling at your kids to communicate in the 13th game of the season you suck as a coach.

There is your CC.

I suppose a person who has 21000 points would get tired of reading all of the CC talk and I can understand that. There are however others of us out there that actually have a life and can't sit in front of the computer all day long and just bitch about double posts. My suggestion to you is STOP CLICKNG THE F$#@ING LINKS THAT SAY "CC". check the top of the page, this is not aaamichfanblog,.com. It aint all about you.

careful fellas....david from wyoming is a moderator and gained all his points while our storied program has been destroyed these past three years, so he will neg you to oblivion. any semblance of an attempt to discuss actually saving it, will be penalized, for it is considered unpopular speech by the keepers of the points.

If David Brandon is really using this bowl game to evaluate RR, then he is the biggest fool in the country. In my opinion, the decision has been made.
