These 5 players (esp. Pryor) certainly impact the Big 10, so I thought I would share it.  It will be interesting to see if their suspensions are lowered--game 5 is v. Michigan State.  Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Apparently Tressel's "condition" for the suspended 5 to play in the Sugar Bowl was a commitment they would return for their senior year.  Tressel says this is so the players couldn't skirt any NCAA punishment (ie play in Sugar Bowl, go pro, never serve any suspension).  Good spin?

I'd prefer that they be suspended from the Sugar Bowl and not return next year, but I guess logic and reason prevailed in a place where such concepts cannot be grasped.  Darn it.  It would have been nice to have seen osu loose to the SEC for the 10th time in a row and to see their best athletss gone next year.  Would have been nice...would have been nice.

I hope these games are better then yesterdays.

I'm stuck watching the games today with my in-laws. Is it to early to start drinking; my wifes parents already think I drink to much.

Good start so far. I posted on this bowl this morning at the JCB and we have Army +8 and a couple of props: Jarred Hassin Over 67.5 rushing yards and Aldrick Robinson Over 87.5 receiving yards.

Army up 13, both props are on pace. Very nice so far, but a looooong way to go.

Just updated the blog, btw, to include a post on the other three games. Go read it at halftime, lol.

SMU isn't normally this bad, but they've been a much better 2nd half team in the few games I've gotten to watch this season, including their come back against TCU at home. I'm a bit worried that my 27 confidence points are in jeopardy at this point. This is still a pretty big lead against a team that will eat up clock in the 2nd half.

At the Half,, a JCB update

Army +8, up 16-0

Aldrick Robinson Over 87.5 receiving yards. He has 55

Jarrid Hassin Over 67.5 rushing yards. He has 48

SMU was -7 in the second half. I thought about hedging, but decided against it. I'm liking how this game is shaping up for us.

Interesting. This game is being played at SMU's home field and is called Gerald Ford stadium (NTGF). Apparently there was a billionaire named Gerald Ford who financed this back in the late 90s. That's a bit odd.
<br>In other news, Dave Brandon is set to announce a new basketball arena which will be called Millard Fillmore Field House (NTMF).
